Tyreek benefits from tua being solid, without that he turns into garret wilson (stretch but not far off what can happen).

All that matters in this race is to convince the people that do the voting.

I think CMC is a clear-cut MVP over all the QB this year. I haven't watched T.Hill enough to have an opinion on him, although I've heard people include him in the conversation. If Brock continues to put up numbers and playing out of his mind like he is so far, would be tough to not have him as MVP even over CMC.

I'm honestly surprised that CMC isn't getting more national attention for the award. I'm not saying he should be leading it but he's an all around elite player performing at a super high level, he's what enables this offense to be so explosive - in my opinion.

i kinda wish they would break out the position group awards.
"Most Valuable QB of the year"
"Most Valuable RB/WR/TE of the year". Etc etc

instead of essentially the NFL MVP being a qb award and DPOY being a pass rusher award

i guess that's kinda what the ESPYs are but I'm surprised the nfl doesn't have its own annual award show. Everytbing purely voted on by players and coaches - get great insight into what the folks within the NFL world think is great. It would be cool insight into that fraternity.
There is already OPOY.

CMC and Tyreek Are seriously competing for OPOY. Why isn't that good enough?

If you're really talking about which one is more important to an offense and performs the best, I don't think it would be close.

CMC: Amazing at rushing, receiving, blocking, scoring touchdowns in various ways.

Tyreke hill: amazing at receiving and receiving touchdowns.

i think comparing players at different positions and trying to say which one is better, is dumb. It's like saying who is better, Michael Jordan or lebron James? Well they don't even play the same position and/or have the same responsibilities.

why not compare them to their positional peers?

Does it make more sense to say Who's better, Fred Warner or tj watt? They do two completely different things and have two completely different responsibilities. Warner should be compared to other linebackers and watt should be compared to other defensive lineman.

We already have the first team all pro. Yes it wasn't one player in each position, but that is a good enough recognition to me.

I'm not throwing a tantrum and I don't lose any sleep over this. Lol I'm just saying that the current recognition system doesn't make sense to me - it's piss poor and that's why the same awards typically go to the same position over and over again. Players get snubbed on the all pro team/pro bowl team every year - like when CMC didn't make either last year or when bosa didn't even make second team all pro 2 years ago.

eff it, only award I really want this year is the super bowl. Anything less will just be depressing.

Players get snubbed...that is a completely different issue. Creating new award may or may not solve this issue.

Brock keeps playing like this he wins. Dak has a tough slate - if he plays well and is undefeated down the stretch he may deserve it
I'm sure Brock is way more concerned with winning the SB than the MVP award. If they win the SB he probably will win the SB MVP.

Brock is probably way too concerned about beating the Cards than anything else.

He's on the air talking about his rehab. He feels his arm is stronger because of all the rehab exercises he did. He said he will continue those same exercises from now on to keep his arm strong. He said he never really threw the deep ball much in college and the deep pass is a new part of his game. That helps explain why the scouting reports downgraded him.

Its funny that the harder a player works on his game - he gets better!

Also that injury may have been a blessing in disguise by giving him exercises to grow his arm strength. If not for the injury - yeah we might have won a Superbowl, but forego future ones becuase his arm isn't as strong as it could be, but for those exercises.

Sort of how losing all those QBs to injuries last year uncovered our future franchise quarterback.

Not directed at you Tankle but I have zero interest in all the MVP hype.

I want a superbowl win period. MVP is meaningless to me.

Superbowl MVP would be nice of course.

I feel like. I won't be upset if he doesn't get it but I do think he's deserving an I love seeing our guys stack accolades. I'll be really bummed if he gets it and we don't win it all.

id be very happy if all he won was the super bowl mvp (meaning we won it all).

Only one QB past 25 years has the SB and MVP same season. Mahomes

Young and Steve have bone done it as well. Purdy so far likes breaking or tying their records.

Even if Montana and Joe?
The beginning of greatness.

Good point. He kind said that he didn't realize how much those types of exercises could help. There's no question that he's able to throw deeper now. Last year when he threw beyond 25-30 yards the balls would kind of tail off at the end or hang up a bit. Now there's more zip. I doubt he could have made that pass to Deebo last year. That traveled 45 yards from scrimmage and about 55 in the air. If was right on the money with no hang time.
