Brock Montana's family & friends are going to be out in full force this weekend - I expect our fans will take over that stadium.

Aiyuk is going to have a monster game after his mistakes from this last game. He had nice stats but is liable for two turnovers, he knows he is way better than that.

Give me Brock infront of his family, pissed off aiyuk, deebo out to prove doubters, kittle having fun, and this defense - and I'll show you something beautiful.

Amazing that Aiyuk, technically, had two major gaffes, yet still had a big day. I also expect him to rebound in a big way next week.

Back in 2019 42.5% of our total passing yards came off of playaction. In 2023 so far only 27.6% of our total passing yards have come off of playaction. That is a huge difference.

That's pretty surprising. I would've thought it was much higher.
But it makes sense. The gravity that CMC and Deebo have is present, regardless of whether we have a run fake. That's great to know, that our passing game can still flourish, even if our run game isn't ticking as well as we'd like.

I think the simplest answer is the best answer - there's more confidence in the traditional dropback passing game now compared to then.

I brought it up because of the debates I have been in with cowboys fans saying that our offense this season is identical to 2019. Meaning Brock is just a system QB with great weapons and a great playcaller just like Jimmy. This was my rebuttal. I figured I would share my findings here because they are a bit telling. I do agree with you that there is now more confidence in a traditional dropback passing game than there was 4 years ago.

Lot of changes since 2019
we added Trent
we added CMC
BA evolved into a 1
Deebo evolved into an All Pro
in addition to the QB upgrade

I've identified the issue.

I just think Purdy's Yards/Attempt vs. Jimmy's 2019 year, and all other QB's this year is huge.
I'm sure the advanced stats for air yards would reinforce this.

What's wild though is that Purdy has 3553 yards passing, 70.2% completions, and 25 TD's, while Prescott has 3553, 69.3% completions, and 28 TD's---comparable numbers, and yet Dak Prescott has thrown 91 more times. They have similar numbers despite Dak Prescott having an extra two, three games worth of throws. Purdy is a lot more efficient when you consider those numbers.

Brock is more mobile, gets the ball out quick, and has good pocket movements while looking down field, thus even though we dropback more, the OL still gets the job done.

Not saying the pass protection has been excellent, but the pass protection can really be exposed if we don't have the right QB and do as much traditional dropback as we do right now.

We had the #2 rushing offense back than and the #2 defense as well. I also wouldn't say that Sanders, Deebo and Kittle were multiple tiers worse than what we have today.

That's pretty cool that Nick Mullens spoke with Brock about the UCL recovery timeline.

From WZ article:
Before his surgery on March 10, Purdy reached out to Mullens to gain insight into what to expect in his recovery.
"He goes, 'Man, throughout the year, especially early on, when you come back, you're going to feel a little something in your arm, but that's normal. All guys that go through surgery feel it,'" Purdy said Tuesday morning on Bay Area radio station KNBR's "Murph and Markus" show. "And he goes, 'But about halfway through the year, you should be feeling a lot better.' And he goes, 'That's what happened with me.'
"And he was right. Halfway through the year, my arm feels great now, so I'm excited about that."
