My favorite post from you ever. And it's not even close. Nice one.
Purdy is outplaying what the "best case scenario" potential of Lance.

To the Trey Lance Truthers, Trey's best case scenario is Brock's brain in Jared Allen's body. It is completely unrealistic, but that is what they believed.

That's pretty cool that Nick Mullens spoke with Brock about the UCL recovery timeline.

From WZ article:
Before his surgery on March 10, Purdy reached out to Mullens to gain insight into what to expect in his recovery.
"He goes, 'Man, throughout the year, especially early on, when you come back, you're going to feel a little something in your arm, but that's normal. All guys that go through surgery feel it,'" Purdy said Tuesday morning on Bay Area radio station KNBR's "Murph and Markus" show. "And he goes, 'But about halfway through the year, you should be feeling a lot better.' And he goes, 'That's what happened with me.'
"And he was right. Halfway through the year, my arm feels great now, so I'm excited about that."

He was nowhere near 100% in the first half of the season.

Trey Lance who the hell is that guy, was he on the 9ers before or something?? Who is this Trey character you people keep bringing up.

Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.

#NeverForget.
To me, there shouldn't be a debate that Purdy is the MVP. Fact is, the 49ers are the #1 SB favorites. Without Purdy, they probably aren't a favorite to make it to the NFCCG. The Cowboys are a possible NFCCG with Dak. Without Dak, they probably still make the playoffs.

There was no reason not to hope for that. Kyle and John did. The QBs selected after that Covid season have all struggled or failed. The only one that's played pretty well is Lawrence and he had several seasons playing at a high level against top competition.

Just depends on who their replacements are right? These are two of the most talented rosters in the league. They'd both be pretty good with a league average starter. We've proven it in multiple years.

I don't have a problem drafting a high trait prospect. But I do think it is funny that after Brock did what he did last season, some want to sit Brock so Trey can get a so call fair chance to succeed with the Niners.

Ah, the memories. A golden age of message board arguing.

Very little posters wanted Trey to start over a healthy Purdy... it seems pretty dishonest to keep acting like this was a widely accepted view.

At least on the webzone... twitter was another story.

I was in the mindset that Purdy wouldn't be ready to start the season which would give Trey a chance to start a few games until Purdy is healthy. Then Kyle would have to make the decision then based on the performance of Trey and who he thinks is better to run the offense.

Since Purdy came back a lot earlier than I expected, the decision was easy.
