I called it on Sunday - move up to #19.

The real shock for me is that he didn't move Herbert up a spot. Sure, he basically broke a finger last game, but that was an ELITE fracture.

I really love the insistence of this guy. He obviously can't be sailing wrong - it's the coast that's crooked (a Greek proverb).

Especially if he has to do it in the playoffs.

Montana in 1984 (i'm trying to recall) never really had played from behind. Same with the 1994 team, to my recollection. I mean SF's beatdown of San Diego in the Super bowl was pretty much how the entire season went in 1994.

We'll probably have to wait till after we lose a lot of stars to the cap, before we see games where Purdy needs to prove he can win - coming from behind - in the 4th quarter.
The MVP odds moving after the games is the bookmakers balancing the bets.

If a lot of delusional cowboys fans bet after a win on Dak, the betting odds will shift, regardless of how well Dak actually played.

Probably....

It is not like we have not watched Joe Montana or Steve Young fail to win a game...or make mistakes....or loose games.....

The ultimate stress test for an offense is having to be one dimensional and win when the other team knows you have to throw the ball. The QB can loose a game from a hundred different things not being "right" every second during crunch time.

One missed block and Joe does not get to throw "the catch" and some dude in a sports bar starts calling him a choker...

Adam Walker does not run down the field and cause Dallas to fumble and who knows how the Dallas game in 94 starts out...what if Eric Davis drops the int? That game ended 38-28 or something like that...and the 49ers started with a 21-0 lead thanks to Walker and Davis. That Young....dude could never get the Monkey off his back. IS that was we would be talking about?

We like to blame the QB for all the winning and all the loosing.....

Meanwhile Brock is getting talked about like he can't win a game....behind a crap line...that was even crappier due to injury...missing his main playmaker. Whole damn offense is built around the Motion and Misdirection of Deebo....

This whole come from behind argument really stems from people not understanding the QB position and being unable to evaluate the QB position and separate and isolate the QB from the rest of the teams production. Coming from behind, means that the *defense* was successful in stopping the other team from continuing to score so your offense can score, catch up, and win in the end. To me it's more a defensive argument that these Come from behind folks are missing. Some of these legendary *come from behind* stories - are from QB's that operate offensive power houses - in the first place. Guys like Staubach, Joe, Steve, Tom and Elway had some great offenses in the first place, such that, they can score in bunches at any point in the game. It just so happens that they scored a lot in the 4th QTR, and that's how the come from legends stories begin.

Sometimes I forget what the actual betting odds mean. I bet a lot of delusional eagles fans had to rethink christmas after they thought it was a sure fire win getting 3 points against the 49ers at home.

As far as MVP, it really comes down to the perception of those who are voting and not the betting odds.

If dak wins it, cowboys will HAVE to resign him to a MASSIVE contract. Lol it isn't like dak is going to beat us at home in the playoffs. It would just be hilarious.

Overall, we have played a much more difficult schedule and at least all of our losses are against potential playoff teams. Dak lost to the damn cards, was horrible against the other two defenses he played (us and eagles).

his stats are super inflated because of their ridiculous schedule.

Ever since we beat them cowboys down in week 5, McCarthy has taken over the offense and has stolen a lot of Kyle's pre snap motions and play designs. If he thinks he can go into the playoffs and use Kyle's offense to beat the 49ers, I see another raiders vs Bucs SB type of game.

Montana lead an amazing comeeback against the saints in 1980 before he was the starter. It was one of the thngs that lead to him being named the starter.

Nice Job Lynch. Still could of used someone like McKinley at Safety or Jobe to compete at the CB position. Career practice squad player with NO potential.

Strong take. Guess we'll be deferring to lynch in the future.
