Having watched some sports news lately, looks like there's a set of people who give Purdy his props, and there are quite a few skeptics (rightfully so, given his short nfl tenure). Montana won his first MVP I believe when he was 30+, Brady won his ~6 years after he was named a starter.
In the end, I think the 49ers (& Purdy) would be 100% happy with a SB win, vs an award. He has a long career in the NFL, so things might work out eventually. Meanwhile, the 49ers haven't won a SB in nearly 30 years.

Awards and trophies are great. Happy that Nick Bosa win DPOTY last year, a number of our guys get All-Pro and Pro Bowl nods over the last couple years...
but yeah, we the fans and the team want that Super Bowl ring.
My hope is that we get it this year.
