More accurate. Scam's 2015 was a fluke, and quite frankly stupid. Always an overrated guy.

About the best discussion concerning Brock I have listened to. Thanks for sharing. Louis hit nail on the head, especially the point of "if he were a top 10 pick."

"Decision making and accuracy." Brock has that in spades and that's why he sometimes makes it look easy. He reads the field so well that he more often than not is finding the correct target in rhythm, which avoids having to go off schedule.

And his stellar footwork makes it all possible. He's always in position at his base to drop a dime as he rifles through his progressions. Like, I know you can learn better footwork, but for a 23 year old to have such polished footwork is a testament to how naturally gifted he is.

It's amazing we can see all these intangibles but the talking heads just push it aside and say "it's Shanahans system and all the talent around him."

Fluke or not, it still happened. Cam had FORTY FIVE touchdowns in 2015. It was an all time great season, whether it was a fluke or not.

Not really. There are a lot of 'talking heads' that are full of bias which they truly don't even try to hide it, ie Mike Robinson or Maurice Jones Drew on NFLN. A lot of those guys are there to hype up their own team, or the position they played and so on. Most of them are quite frankly, stupid....which is why I somewhat laugh at all the hatred you see on these threads about these guys and their opinions. It's mostly crap....even the stuff that is FOR the Niners. There are tons of players to evaluate, but the bottom line is that it's still the same s**t that is covered: Mahomes, the Cowboys and Tom Brady....even in retirement.

Some of these 'next gen' stats are a joke as well....again....even the ones that favour Purdy. There was one that was passed around that stated that the 2023 49ers were one of the top 5 passing offenses of the last 40+ years through 11 games played or whatever. I don't care what metric they used......that is straight up garbage, and anyone who actually watched football for the past 4+ decades and was honest will say the same thing. Unfortunately....this is where we are with the internet.

For reals. It's why guys like Trent Williams keep telling reporters to put on the f**king tape when asked about people naysaying Brock. These hot take artists don't care to do any actual research. What pays is to be contrarian.

I don't care. It's a fluke so it's not indicative to his actual ability. Scam Newton was always overrated.

Uncle Sherm is tired of the b******t:

I used to hate on uncle Sherm. After getting to know him on the Niners and his commentary I love the guy. He's so dead on, let's not give these taking heads any more leeway on the crap they spew. Brock Purdy is not a game manager....He is becoming a star on this team. Every week I can't wait to what he can do. Every QB has weapons when they win championships geesh I'm so sick of this crap. Even my Eagles and Cowboys fan buddies say Brock is Elite. I almost want to have Cam watch his Superbowl and say that crap.

That guy on the SFNiners youtube channel said he reached out to Cam and invited him on his show to watch film of Brock Purdy.

That would be awesome to see....
Masters of their craft make it look easy and don't get credit for style points.

Purdy has elite processing and knows exactly where to go with the ball on most plays.

He is being punished for reading a defense and finding the open receivers.

The play runs smoothly and the average fan thinks anyone could have done it.

Pretty much nailed it.

I may be late to the party about Cam's comments, which make him look like a dumbass. Just another guy who's clearly never watched a game that Brock's played in.
So many little nuances i like about Brock. What I really like is his ability to, no matter what's happening to him in or outside the pocket, just before he throws the ball, he gathered himself for that half a tick to make an accurate throw. You usually only see that out of a vet qb. A younger ones, you can see the panic that affects the throw. For a young guy with only about 20 starts, it's just incredible. When you see him play, all the usual things you see out of a young qb don't show up. He plays the position like a 5-6 year arrow up vet.

Amazing how us niner fans can understand this yet so many so called professionals can't. His throws are in between defenders that if they were off just a little would be picks. His ball placement is also something that he never gets credit for. I feel like with the exception of GMF I should never watch NFL network. Robinson is a Seacock even though we drafted the prick. He sucked with us too, a freaking converted QB.

Yes he (the name in bold) has no problem showing his dislike of the 49ers, two more I did not like on NFL network back in the day were Heath "HogHead" Evans and Jamie "Puke" Dukes. Both were unbearable to listen to when commenting on the 49ers.

I honestly don't understand how people even watch these shows with all the other content available.

I get it if you are such a junkie you take literally everything in, but these shows are s**t.
