does anyone know?
I think he said that the 49ers' passes short of the line of scrimmage alone… still rank 1st in the league in YPA.

I was guessing maybe that was it??
I have a question on that, do we know the volume of attempts?
here's a related infographic
Brock Purdy has averaged 11.0 yards per attempt when targeting screens this season, most of any QB in a season since 2018 (min. 20 such attempts).
— Next Gen Stats (@NextGenStats) December 6, 2023
Purdy's 11.0 YPA when targeting screens is 5.4 yards above the NFL average since 2018 (5.6).#FTTB pic.twitter.com/2xQW5ILtSR

I don't know the volume/quantity, but I heard we're ranked 28th in attempts at or behind the line of scrimmage.

Interesting, though why'd he use Jimmy's numbers from 2021 and not 2022? For the record, Jimmy's EPA/play with CMC in 2022 was .331.

On one hand, you could say it's cherrypicking stats to reinforce an assertion.
But on the other hand, you could also say that the 6 games they played together is not a large enough sample size vs. the entire 2021 season.

Brock ranks 16th in the league in screen dropback% at 11.1%.

On your third hand you can argue it isn't an apples to apples comparison because we didn't have CMC in 2021 but you can also argue that Alex smith didn't have Sammy Watkins (although Watkins only played 10 games - he had like 600 receiving yards as a 3rd/4th option).
regardless, it's hard to do apples to apples because rosters changed annually. Eff Jimmy and go Brock

He's just a goofy ass regular dude. Lol you gotta love it, well at least I do. Jimmy and kap had this vibe to them that felt like they did a lot of stuff normal people don't - eat out at nice restaurants, photo shoots, exotic cars, porn stars, models. Lol all that and then Brock montana is at home making Christmas pizza's with his college hunny.
i prefer that kind of person being the qb over guys like kap, Jimmy, cam. Lol
