It was after our 3rd loss when I started coming a bit on board on the Fire Wilks Train. Before the Jacksonville game I did say that if he makes Lawrence look all pro (he's been having a pretty average season) I'm done with his ass.

But I still liked a lot of what he was doing. Corners looked better, containing scrambling QBs was better (we still suck against screens though). It was more so some questionable calls and being too aggressive when he didn't need to be. And really just trying to get to cute with the scheme.

I think now he really understands just how special some of these players on defense are. Which I can't blame him bc it's not like he's coached a defense like this before. Just let them play and keep it vanilla at times, which he's been getting better at. There's no reason to do these over the top zone blitzes as often as he was doing

It's actually a great human study of how most people live on a roller coaster and don't think forward at all. Lol if something good happens - "we are the best! This is amazing!"

sometbing not go perfect -"omg! We are horrible! Fire him, get him off the field. This is pathetic".

lmao it's honestly insane. Can't get too high or low

It's therapeutic for me nice to see that people are more off their rocker than me.

People have to remember it's a long game and a lot can happen quickly.

it's like we started out with the 72 yard run and a scoring drive, then we were stagnant for a few drives. Everyone starts panicking. Lol you have to just look at the big picture and know there is a lot of time left.

wilks is a great example - I always liked the hire. I've been vocal about that. Wasn't thrilled with the defensive scheme in the first half of the season, but I also realized we were still doing well for the most part. We weren't "bad", outside of a few situations. He worked through his kinks and made adjustments, now he's a savage coordinator.

LOL

Damn man we are playing ANOTHER team coming off a bye. This is like the 6-7th team this year we have to play a team coming off extra rest.

Game day threads are hilarious if you don't take em too seriously. You got to remember most of us posting in there are loaded as f**k lol

One of the things that always confused me about Trey is that I literally don't think there is a single aspect of playing QB that anyone would say he is "good" at.

with Brock, there really isn't anything you can say that he isn't at least "good" at.

I don't think so. I think what we're seeing is that Trey got hurt before really got going with game reps, they simply found a better QB as the last pick of the next draft, and they while injured, they liked what they saw from him to the extent where they were willing to give up on developing Trey.

The thought process you all are sharing is reversed, fellas. If Brock was looking hella average as a player,....THAT gives us more ground to propose what Trey probably is not good at.

What we do know is that he was not good at looking better than Brock.

So the fact that Brock is having an MVP-level year -- if anything -- is evidence that we really don't know Trey's ceiling. Brock was just better now and we need to win NOW.

I mean,...let's just follow where the logic leads us instead of reversing field.
