Hell yeah! I've been saying it for years, being physically gifted is one of the least important aspects of being a great qb. Lol as long as you're "big enough".

The intangibles are what make a great qb. Physical tools just make it look sexy

Just looked it up. Apparently Purdy has the highest career passer rating ever among players with at least 100+ career pass attempts. He has 529 pass attempts.

I wonder how long he can keep that up. Would be amazing if he reaches 1,500 attempts and is still above Mahomes on the PFR list

Its still the same thing its always been at its core.

Can you consistently drop back, identify the open target and get the ball out to them accurately and with great anticipation? If so, you can be a high level NFL QB. Everything else is just for flavor.

I think Brock has been great. But the above, it's when those things are not available. The defense figured it out, there's nothing there, can the QB make something happen.

The ironic thing is Brock does do that! It's what I don't understand. I think there is hyperbole on both ends of the spectrum but at MINIMUM, Brock is beyond some basic QB who can only function when papa shanny played the right cards. Purdy pulls his weight. Whether or not he's an elite QB long term we'll see but I think most unbiased people would say he's performing at an extremely high level

BP's anticipation, footwork, processing, learning & accuracy are all top tier. What else can ya ask for?
