QB Brock Purdy Thread

with Brock, there really isn't anything you can say that he isn't at least "good" at. He doesn't have any glaring holes and the flaws he has shown - he's cleaned up, which is incredible in and of itself. Like the rolling out of pockets early or to the left, he has drastically improved there. All of his stats in his games last season had ridiculous efficiency's, he's some how done better than that over the course of 13 games. It's mind blowing.

brock has a huge opportunity this weekend to show that he can Lead a limping 49ers defense to victory

So much for the "regressing to the mean" crowd who kept saying he couldn't get better because of his "minus arm" and "lack of athleticism".

I think Brock has been great. But the above, it's when those things are not available. The defense figured it out, there's nothing there, can the QB make something happen.

The ironic thing is Brock does do that! It's what I don't understand. I think there is hyperbole on both ends of the spectrum but at MINIMUM, Brock is beyond some basic QB who can only function when papa shanny played the right cards. Purdy pulls his weight. Whether or not he's an elite QB long term we'll see but I think most unbiased people would say he's performing at an extremely high level

An impossibly high level for a second year player fresh off offseason elbow surgery

Yes, at GOAT level. I'm just excited we're wining with great QB play like the dynasty days.

Why are we debating Cam's resume? It doesn't seem that relevant beyond him being a former NFL QB. Nobody brings up JTO's or Chase Daniels' careers when their opinions get posted here.

He made it relevant by denigrating the subject of this thread. Ring knows this, he's not that dim. All you need to know about Cam is that down by four points in the Superbowl, he decided not to even try to dive on a loose ball that might very well have given his team a chance to win the game. He was always a celf-centered type, and though he was a great athlete, he was mediocre, at best, as a qb.

Lol now cam is saying Brady and manning were "game managers"? Lmao does this moron really think he was better than them?

He also said that the niners aren't winning cause of Brock. Well seeing as how cam had 3 winning years in 11 - his teams sure weren't winning cause of him. Lmao

I say it all the time, these players aren't as smart and have the understanding of the game like a lot of fans think they do. He may of not been a burnout by the time he was 30 (supposed to be entering his prime) if he even understood how to manage a game.
I'm thinking Cam believes a game manager is someone who doesn't make incredible feats of highlight reel variety.

Regardless, I've always thought the reason Brady is the GOAT (or just behind Joe) is precisely because he was the best game manager who ever lived. There is almost always a hole in the defense, and Brady always found it when it was there. No incredible feats, save being impervious to physical and emotional pressure. But otherwise he was great because he executed, which to me is the job of a game manager, and an elite game manager is basically a robot within the system. To me, that's what Brady was.

I don't feel like that would go down easily. Probably have to fold her head in the dress to keep the hair from sticking. Maybe tie the legs together to keep the shoes from poking your throat. Where do you find these gifs...

there is no definition of game manager

to Cam a game manager is someone who stays in the pocket and operates a system as opposed to himself russel wilson Lamar, Hurts etc who makes plays with legs and arm and make more off schedule plays

Seems to be what he means, which then makes the whole argument dumb, since you can win with both ways, and dollars to pesos, winning with your arm and brain works more often.

How come nobody mentions the defense that Cam Newton had. Funny when his defense was mediocre, the offense was mediocre too.

the old saying "highlights lie"

a fancy splash play on sportcenter leaves out the 10 horrendous plays...

To Cam a game changer is someone who misses the easy reads within the structure of the designed play and instead uses his athleticism as a crutch to hide his inability to actually play the position at a high level but is great because he can launch a desparation 50/50 ball 60 yards down the sideline.

I just wanna know when the movie will come out. Lol. Spielberg, get on it haha. SOON ™️

Not about Purdy. We need to sabotage this production to make way for the BCB story.
