QB Brock Purdy Thread

Never in my wildest dreams did I think Brock would be having this kind of season. I thought If everything went right and he'd recovered from surgery he might be trip 10 QB but holy hell he is playing as the best QB in the league right now.

any one that Knocks Brock at this point, simply don't watch his games. Lol

I appreciate it too. Thats same guy has no idea what a fumble/down by contact is.

#1 in QBR, #1 in Completion %, #1 in Yards Per Pass Attempt and #1 in Rating
Top 5 in yards and Top 5 in Passing TD's
Super Bowl Champion
Super Bowl MVP

All because Lamar Jackson wowed Mike Tirico and Chris Collinsworth in a Week 15 game against the Jacksonville Jaguars with his escapability. Quite comical.

It's not going to happen unless Lamar really outshines Purdy next week.

why are people taking things personally

the arent going to mention Purdy in a game of Jaguars vs Ravens

I am not really surprised by it. I was concerned about the injury and the impact that it would have. And I still kinda am like on the long term as injuries may not age well. Idk. But he is still young and I forget about that lol. I think I picked 12-5 iirc..or was it 11-6.. for the season but that was before I knew BP would recover as well as he did. Healthy, I likely would have picked higher. I knew this kind of success was definitely possible when healthy because he was this last year. Why would it change other than the injury affecting him? He has been this all along. There was a reason I got a little misty eyed (lol) after watching a couple of games with him. I knew this was going to leave an imprint on the NFL and I was damn excited he signed with the Niners. I knew we were watching something historic really. It's really special and glad I am here for it:)

Depending on what they are chewing ...herbal,normal chew, nicotine pouch....odds are they are no danger of an overdose. Over Dosing on Nicotine was almost unheard of until Vaping become a thing and it is still very, very rare. Most normal humans can withstand more Nicotine then an entire can of chew can provide at one time. Huge humans can take even more.

nicotine is a pain killer and an anti-inflammatory and in some cases is prescribed as medicine. Dr. House had a famous scene about this. He prescribed a patient cigarettes to treat some sort of illness.

it might have a minor effect on the aches and pains or football, but mostly is just good-old boy habits they picked up as kids. I moved from NYC to Texas in HS...and it was a hell of a culture shock...but Dip is stuff Country boys do.

Lol I know ya can't really OD by chewing or smoking. I meant more that it's a toxin in general and that it can be lethal in larger doses..like in extract form and ingested. It makes sense that it would be a pain reliever of some kind. But I don't think any doctor would prescribe cigs for that lol

I mean it would be as painful as having guys like Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers or Josh Allen as big fans of your team and not drafting them when you could. It would never happen to the Niners obviously.^^

Seriously, this Brock Purdy story is f**king surreal. He's the right guy at the right place, at the right moment. Never too low, never too high, always humble and honest with himself. It's hard to not like him.

Not to mention Miami took a QB in the 7th round that was not childhood fan Brock Purdy. Ouch.

We would know...

for sure

with Brady and Rodgers....both really wanting to be 49ers.

Let's appreciate this one more time. Despite of what the 2 announcers said, the defender had no chance because of Brocks accuracy and timing.

This is what I thought Lance could give us in spades, but Brock came in last pick of the draft, I can do that and do it better.

I love that Purdy passed Dak in TDs this week... that was the only stat I could see that could legitimately make the case in someone's mind that Dak was more deserving of the award.

I'm skeptical about that photo. With all the info now about the harms of putting tobacco in your mouth, it seems odd that guys who are on a tight schedule to make enough money to live on for the rest of their lives would do that. I know Kocurek dips and I would guess some others do but it is puzzling that anyone would. I have several older friends who have had major dental problems as well as cancer related to chewing.

Like I mentioned I'd guess this isn't a habitual thing for all of them, at least on a day to day basis. Who knows though.

You can see in the postgame video from today's game, released by the Niners. Bosa is clearly dipping, so is Kittle, and you can see Chase in the background pulling one of of a tin.

Last week chase had a FAT dip in during his interview lmao

An established elite QB throws that and it's a tight window throw.

Brock throws it and it's almost a pick 6.

A tale of two perspectives.

Walsh choosing some bum over Brady back in 1999 and Nolan choosing Alex over Rodgers in 2005, has haunted me for decades. Lol

obviously we don't know how it would of turned out in this bonfire (at the time) but it sure would of helped turn things around. Lol

landing Purdy finally feels like tbe football gods showing this faithful fan base some mercy. Lol I couldn't be happier

When I saw this live I first thought "man Brock dodged a bullet there that it wasn't picked off" - I thought the defender just missed it, but in reality the defender never had a chance and it was as perfectly thrown and timed as humanly possible.
