It's quite possible that 50% of the fan base threw up and the other 50% shat themselves, all at the same time. Lol I'm sure some a combo of both.

Lol man I felt white as a damn sheet. I felt all the blood drain from my face and it scrunched up like a damn raisin. I aged 10 yrs for a few mins. Then realized he was ok..and sprung back to life. Lol

True no scary teams..Cowboys aren't scary rn and no Favre! Even if Favre..I think we could beat his ass! LFG

I didn't think there were any "scary" teams in 2019 either, especially after Baltimore choked to Tennessee. Hopefully this is our year

Going forward when guys are throwing for 5k yards and 50 tds, a qb under Shanna will never throw that many passes. Ugh, sorry just so frustrating hearing them gush about Lamar puttin up pedestrian passing numbers but he can run.

We have no idea who is going to win it and honestly a lot of the Lamar vs Brock debate can be settled on Christmas. Depends on who balls out.

i just hope we win. Lamar can have the regular season stuff I want the super bowl stuff 😈

selfishly, I want both. Muahahah

His arm is a plus, not a minus. A strong arm helps on those come from behind wins in the 4th quarter. I dont see Kyle going air Coryell on the 49ers, but I can see him trying to find that 3rd Deebo or 2nd Kittle in next years draft to give Brock more targets.

I like both of the TEs we drafted this year - they're getting a year to develop their bodies and learn the ropes. I think both can be big time contributors next year - especially in the passing game.

Week 14 in 1981, 49ers beat the Bengals, and it was a foreshadowing of the Superbowl that year.

Imagine what was going through Kyle's mind seeing his QB down on the ground like that.

Agree, if Latu can come back 💯% and Brayden does develop like Jauan did, it should help in that 2nd TE/positionless offense that Kyle's put together. Assuming we can keep most (but not all) of our current skill positon players, the only thing on offense that needs to be shored up is offensive line. If you have an OLine that can protect for 3+ seconds - those deep strikes now become something more common.

I'm wondering if Brendel just missed the blitz pickup and didn't call the right protections? That has to be fixed if thats the case. You just can't have your QB getting hits like that. Specially Purdy who isn't built like Cam Newton.

Yeah, we are in wonderful shape overall. Just need to take advantage of the deep tackle draft. Keep resigning key guys and keep drafting well - we've done it well for 7 years.

jed deserves a lot of props for helping us maintain this team. He dished out over $100M in cash last off season to get hargrave, bosa, and free up cap space in signing bonus. Not every owner would do that and that's giving us breathing room next years cap. Kudos to jed
I wonder how other teams view Brock in the defense film room. I can only imagine them saying "you better not buy into that system game manager crap because he will pick you apart."

A lot of the actual players and coaches around the league have spoke highly of him. It's really just the talking heads on tv who diss him.
Brock Purdy is 5th in total air yards in the NFL.

That's while being TWENTY-FIRST in pass attempts. This is unreal.

EDIT: forgot source:

(PFR counts air yards starting at the line of scrimmage, not where the QB throws it. So if you're five yards behind the line you don't get the extra five yards. You only get credit for air yards beyond the line with PFR's metric. It doesn't matter as long as you're consistent. Although frankly it may actually HURT 49ers QBs since we do a lot of deep drops on PA and still do 7-step drops from under center, which makes this even more impressive, tbf.)

It's hard to get used to having the best QB in the league... maybe someday it will sink in
