If I remember right it was 1st & goal at the 6 yd line. Gore was averaging 4.6-4.8 a run. Why they kept throwing to Crabapple we will never know. What ticks me off more is doing it in the NFCCG the next year in Seattle!!!!

Jim Harbaugh was a f**kin moron. I was done with him after that game.

I just realized he threw this from the far hash. Holy s**t. Brock Purdy amazed you every week with his throws. This is the space he dropped to Deebo

JH is actually a tremendous coach, his record college and pro will tell that story
CK was a flawed QB, the moment in hindsight reveals the flaws. Couldn't throw with touch to win the big game, and had to see it open in most cases. They had some guys over there as well, Reed and Lewis.

that throw was sick as bleep, give the man the clean pocket and it's over
then when you give him the not so clean pocket, look at the long CMC pass TD for that one

Let's not forget a questionable non call on final Crabtree fade.

I honestly hate when fans blame a series for an entire game. No guarantee Flacco doesn't get a game tying, or winning, fg if we score there and also your 'elite' defense got their s**t pushed for in for chunks of the game.

would be an amazing accomplishment

McCaffrey needs 259 receiving yards to get to 1,000; might as well get him in there too.

That's the aspect that gets me, we sent over half our starting D to the PB, it was a historic LB group and we made Joe Flacco look like footballs Michael Jordan. We then had to watch Flacco be a JAG for the next decade, wondering what the bleep happened..

I'll blame the coaching staff for the team coming out completely flat in the SB and getting blown off the field until the lights literally went out. You had a team that had two weeks to prepare and for the first two quarters looked like it was still preseason for them.

Forget all that s**t.....49er fans should be on their hands and knees thanking Jim Harbuagh because that franchise was truly on the brink of becoming an irrelevant entity in the NFL. A laughingstock much like the Browns or the Raiders. Despite what it ended up being, his tenure brought respectablity back....and it somewhat played out again with Shanahan.

Yea it was definitely a bad start. The only thing I'd add is that our defense hadn't actually been elite for many weeks and Flacco was killing everyone in the postseason. Still have a hard time blaming a series, and definitely a QB who had 300 yards passing and over 50 rushing matching only Montana at the time.

He's the 3rd best 49ers head coach since I've been watching the team (80s ish). What happened here was a football tragedy, lol.

And Harbaugh still carries that tradition into the CFP.

I'm assuming you put him behind Walsh and Shanahan?
