Marty Schottenheimer was a really good HC that got a bum rap, people still s**t on him to this day despite an incredible W-L record. A couple SB's would have shut all of that down. Belichick is still disliked by a lot of people but you can't ignore all those rings, even with Brady around.

it goes to a team that surpassed usually low expectations. All the NFL awards are pretty much fake or stupid. You have a kicker who won MVP, meanwhile no WR ever has including the entire career of guys like Rice or Moss.

Well I like to use those awards as bragging rights against cowboys, seahawks and eagles fans.

I don't think it works that way, I don't think NYG has anything to brag about, if some NYG fan is bragging about COY, as they continually lose QBs cuz they can't block for bleep, that person is a possible clown. Daboll getting exposed this season, last year was a bit of a fluke for NYG,

Daboll didn't deserve it last season. Kyle deserved it than as well. Kyle has probably deserved it 4 of the last 5 seasons tbh.

So if the NFL is giving it out to the wrong coaches, where does the bragging part come in, doesn't seem like a very valid honor to me, it's like Geno winning CPOY, that award should have came with an inscription, 'congrats on coming back from sucking ass'
I find a lot of these awards to be poorly thought out

I was joking about using the award as bragging rights. I was dead serious about Kyle deserving the award.

He would deserve it if it's a legit award, designed to measure or honor the top coach. That's not what the honor is.

Good for you. I don't care what the award really is. Kyle has been the best coach in the league this season.

Yup. Been there before. Got concussed from the scope on my rifle during recoil. Smacked me right in the bridge area of my eyebrow. Thought I was fine the first few hours afterwards but after looking back, I know for sure that I wasn't okay. But couldn't convince me otherwise at the time.

He was snakebit. He once lost a playoff game 10-7 where his otherwise reliable kicker missed three FGs under 45 yards. There was always some ridiculous turnover, a bad call or something else that happened. I always felt bad for the guy because he seemed like a genuinely great coach.
