I think the only other videos of his I've watched were of guys who had bad days. Lol so I expected the criticism - I believe one was Justin fields. I watched it tk see what he said about fields processing.
doesn't bother me either way, I love Brock. I just find it weird how he constantly knocks things about kyles system or how Brock does something, when they're clearly two of the best at what they are doing in the league.
Just because they're the best in the league doesn't mean that things can't be pointed out, critiqued, and improved on.
Shanahan himself is famous amongst his players for being able to dissect a play and could potentially go for an hour on just one play if he wanted.
I mean more along the lines of "I hate how he runs 7 step drops. He should never do it. Shouldn't be part of a playbook" etc. it's one thing to say a play was poorly executed but it's another to say that the play design etc is bad.
For that critique in particular, his take is reasonable: 7 step drops are less popular these days, with teams opting for quicker drops, play action, and designed movement out of the pocket, so that teams can better protect the QB. Historically, we haven't had the best luck in terms of QB health, and it's reasonable to point out that we have play designs that do potentially expose the QB.
But I think he's fair as well. I think the last study, he pointed out that we had wide edges in our pass protection, so he said that was fine.
The only thing that annoys me in his film studies is that he constantly nags about the CMC shuffle motion out of the backfield. Complains about it weekly. At that point, why don't you find out what the reasoning is for.

I think Kyle explained what is for, that "bumper motion" that CMC does while aligned 6 yards into the backfield. It's so that CMC has a clean release into the route and isn't chipped by the edge player.

JUST IN: Owner of Brock Purdy to win MVP ticket has just sold it for $125,000 on @PropSwap.
— Darren Rovell (@darrenrovell) December 22, 2023
The new buyer would win $202,000, which has odds, given his investment, of -162.
This is the largest deal in PropSwap history. Company negotiated 3% deal ($3,750) with seller. pic.twitter.com/A8tWXCCCIr
Should have kept it and made $202,000. Who would have thought in July 2023? Wow. I thought he would be good. But maybe not this good and this quick. Especially coming off the elbow injury. But here we are. The favorite for the MVP.

Just have to chime in here as I see some harping on O'Sullivan: haven't watched the latest video, but prior to that, which is like 5 of them, he actually basically says that Purdy is better than Shanahan's playcalling and design. He points out the mistakes he makes, which of course he does, but man when he makes insane throws/decisions, he gives him all the credit in the world. I think the guy LOVES Purdy, so idk wtf y'all talking about, but then again some of you just spit nonsense for a living. San Diego is nice btw, watched the last game at Bubs.

That was about 2 weeks ago in the Papa interview, JTO hasn't mentioned it in his video since lol

Yes. Papa interview. Now that there are other, better film analysts cutting up Brock, I stopped watching JTO's.
