I think that each team or its writers should nominate 1 player from their team for MVP, to prevent vote splitting and inferior players winning MVP.
For example, in 1987 MVP votes were split between Jerry and Joe (30 & 18) so Elway wound up winning it with 36 votes. Elway threw 3,000 yards, 19 TDs, and 12 Ints that season. Joe's #s were better across the board, and Jerry had probably the best WR season of all time and the only real shot a WR has ever had at winning MVP.

1. CMC is very deserving of it
2.it would be a huge win for running backs (specifically the highest paid one)
3. Gives Brock an extra chip and motivation at this young point in his career
I like reason 3. And also perhaps it makes him less expensive.

Not sure I want to watch this video. After all, this is the same guy(clown) that made a video arguing that Purdy and Jimmy are the same QB.

If he is and that was his previous stance we should give credit to him taking in the accumulated evidence and changing his position.

I read the story about CMC's Christmas gifts to the other players and couldn't help laughing at Brock's comments. I know Brock only makes $870,000 per yer but saying that a set of custom golf clubs isn't in his budget is a little silly. He's clearing at least $450K or more. That's some expensive golf clubs. Even if he has a large house payment I'm sure he could buy his own clubs.
To us mere mortals it sounds a little crazy to hear these guys say stuff like that.
After taxes and agent fees his net salary is closer to $440k.
Stolen from reddit:
"I looked up most expensive golf bags and found some for north of 7k. And they weren't even like Gucci or anything. Again. I'm not saying he's poor but if your net is 200 and you spend somewhere between 70k-150k on gifts for your teammates.. thats a tough spot."
Unless you're someone who thinks one should spend 34% of your net annual income (150/440) on Christmas gifts for your coworkers I don't think we can just say "he's rich enough he should have bought them instead."
You read the story differently than I did. I read it as Brock not being able to afford hs own clubs not clubs for all his team mates. His time will come.

Yeah. Lol I've mentioned this but it's just fallen on deaf ears. If Brock and CMC consistently rank 1 & 2 on everyone's ballots - one of them will win it.
unless if one guy wins all the third rankings and that somehow equates to more than someone who gets 25 firsts and 25 seconds. Lol which I doubt.

Mike Vick was asked if Brock Purdy is a game manager:
— Coach Yac 🗣 (@Coach_Yac) December 22, 2023
"No, I've seen Brock Purdy maneuver the pocket, and make plays on the run… Pull it down on 3rd & 6 and make a play. That's not managing, that's (game) changing."

Love this analogy. "Brock Purdy has paid off the 49ers mortgage, and he still asks if he needs to take his shoes off when he comes in his own house" pic.twitter.com/L1iE6QScDR

Best full-season in adjusted net yards per attempt (combines YPA, TDs, INTs and sacks) in NFL history. QBs shaded in grey won the MVP award.
