So, I just now finished the recording. What I saw was much better than what I had assumed from the stats and PBP stuff. Purdy still made some great throws and looked a lot better than I had assumed. So many balls rarely bounce the wrong way as they did tonight. He is very good at putting things behind him and I expect to see him back in form next week.

I give John Harbaugh and the Ravens a lot of credit for coming up with a good game plan that took away some of the bread-and-butter stuff KS had relied on. Their linebackers are the AFC version of Warner/Greenlaw - top-level players. They made it a lot harder to throw the ball over the middle.

It seemed like the game turned after Sneed didn't look for the ball and instead of a 1st down, they had to punt. Then injuries started to happen and Jackson began doing his ballroom dance routine and...

The teams that reach the Super Bowl are always the healthiest teams. I look forward to this team being healthy and getting a second chance at the Ravens. It will be a different game.

I was so disgusted with snead's effort on that route, it was horrible

Never liked seeing sneed out there even in preseason you can see he is a low effort player

Makes me wonder how bad is Danny Gray.
I posted during the gameday thread that I didn't understand that 3rd and 11 call to Deebo in the flat late in the game when we were still in it.... I didn't understand many of the calls tonight.

As far as Purdy.. it's not so much the INTs.. but the inaccuracy and Purdy not getting it off as quick as usual that worries me on those tipped passes.

When do folks have access to the All-22? I'm real curious what was Brock seeing out there. It just seemed like the Ravens' defense had a plan and stuck with it, but you think that would have opened it up for us to pop them.

The interesting thing Brock said was trying to do too much when he should have thrown the ball away... it reminded of the Int many games back (returned for a TD was it?), when we were backed up against our own goal line.. and Brock forced a pass to CMC that went off his hands to a LBer I believe.

Either way even if CMC made that catch, not much value would have been gained... so just better off killing the play, throwing it at CMC's feet.

In today's game.. same thing.

So yeah, I mentioned this kind of game would be great for Brock, win or lose... he'll hopefully learn not to force passes, that would not be worth the completions anyway.
When we were down a couple scores I thought wow what a great opportunity for Brock to show he can come back and win. What a great opportunity for the team to prove they can win from behind and not rely on 2 TD leads.

But yet here we are again. Why can't this team and Brock take one on the chin, get up and respond? A playoff team/teams will hit us in the chin again. It will happen. I'm seriously worried we can't win from behind.
A recurring "stinger?" Is that a real thing?

Purdy left the game after a stinger he sustained in last week's win over the Arizona Cardinals flared up following a sack. Shanahan decided to keep Sam Darnold in the game the rest of the way, even though Purdy might have been able to return.

In my personal experience, that's code word for a torn labrum. Obviously hope not, but at least it's the non throwing shoulder

Yeah, when he got hit 2 games ago, I first thought, concussion. A stinger you usually get by squaring up and tackling with your shoulder/neck. It does seem code for something else.

I can't remember the last time I saw a meltdown this bad in here. Gonna be a rough week in here I'm afraid lol.

This place is always melting down over one thing or another.

Tbf, after a performance like that, I can understand why.

That's because we can't.

Shanahan record says we can't.

He was cleared to play. We were moving OL around and down 21 at that point. They had to say it was something to keep him out.

if it was a torn labrum he wouldn't have been cleared to play.

im more worried about the inability for Brock/this team to play from behind.

Brock has had 4 opportunities to show he can lead a team from behind when things are not going great and has failed each time. I like him and think he is an upgrade compared to what we have had in the Shannahan era but he is an averse QB surrounded by exceptional talent. Drew Brees wasn't lighting the world on fire his first few years in San Diego and could Brock go that way, sure he could but right now he is limited. I think the sample size is big enough that we know who is is currently and until he proves otherwise we have to play perfect in order to win a championship.

Yeah, I think I believe this too. They typically use the light injury excuse to change personnel.

Yeah, they stink when they have to play off script. The whole team too. Domino effect.
