But yet here we are again. Why can't this team and Brock take one on the chin, get up and respond? A playoff team/teams will hit us in the chin again. It will happen. I'm seriously worried we can't win from behind.

That's because we can't.

Shanahan record says we can't.

They actually have won 1 game from behind in the 4th. Packers divisional round 2021

If we are not blowing out teams, we are getting blown out. basically what this team is right now.

I thought a blowout was when a team wins by 3 or more scores.

A recurring "stinger?" Is that a real thing?

Purdy left the game after a stinger he sustained in last week's win over the Arizona Cardinals flared up following a sack. Shanahan decided to keep Sam Darnold in the game the rest of the way, even though Purdy might have been able to return.

In my personal experience, that's code word for a torn labrum. Obviously hope not, but at least it's the non throwing shoulder

Yeah, when he got hit 2 games ago, I first thought, concussion. A stinger you usually get by squaring up and tackling with your shoulder/neck. It does seem code for something else.

He was cleared to play. We were moving OL around and down 21 at that point. They had to say it was something to keep him out.

if it was a torn labrum he wouldn't have been cleared to play.

im more worried about the inability for Brock/this team to play from behind.

this has always been my concern with Brock and big games, or just down by multiple scores.

he and the team have yet to show the inability (this season) to come back. that has been something that's always lingered in the back of my mind during our latest win-streak for a while now, ever since the 3-game losing streak.
Get this man a good line and he will be fine long-term. Seriously need to overhaul the C and the right-side of that line going into the next season.

This team ain't winning the SB unless they show they can come back from behind

Pretty crazy to have a supposed brilliant coach who can't win when behind, as a rule
Brock will be fine. That oline needs overhauled. Needs to be good enough to protect well enough in a come from behind mode.

Not many teams can come from behind late against a good defense like the Ravens. Too much pressure on the QB. They lead the league in sacks even though they don't have one dominant pass rusher. Still being 0-37 (now 0-38) when trailing by more than 8 in the 4th quarter is disturbing. It's great to blow teams out and score over 30 in a game but occasionally there will be games like yesterday when the team just isn't clicking and they keep stubbing their toes.

The great Niner teams of the 80s didn't trample every team they faced. They had to come from behind late many times. They played poorly for much of the game against the Bengals in the SB but Joe was able to lead them on a long game winning drive. This team will need to do the same if they want to win another SB. If the face the Ravens this year the game may look similar. Hopefully the Niners avoid the turnovers and keep it closer but there's still a good chance they could be trailing late.

That's not going to happen.

We'll probably try to keep a high quality LT, but everyone else will be plug and play. We're 11-4 with a trash line and I can't imagine Shanny/Lynch see a reason to change.

The upcoming draft is supposed to be strong for O linemen. The Niners are set at nearly every other position and they have 12 draft picks. 1,2. 3 (3) ,4(2) 5(2) . Nine picks in the first 5 rounds assuming they don't trade up which is likely. Considering Trent's age and the poor performance of the right side of the line, I'll be shocked if they don't draft at least 3 O linemen.

He gave me a chubby but I'll believe it when I see it.
