He just did what Jimmy never could for us, especially in the playoffs.
the confidence this must give him and the guys is huge. Now they know they can do it, instead of thinking they can.
This
All doubts are gone now.
This s**t happens sometimes, but it's about how you finish and he put together a hell of srive, that was a bunch of passes. Passes he was missing early on too.
He will have a nice bounce back next week. This was a tough one with the long rest + rain.

Huge… honestly while anxiety inducing, this was a good game for us to have and survive that way. We needed to win a game like that just to know we can do it
Literally has never happened in the KS era. Lol maybe we've finally broke through. Only took us Brock Purdy, baby!
PRETTY WEIRD OVER HERE IN SAN FRAN, JIMMY!!!

Agree, Purdy should have silenced a ton of critics with that last drive.

Perhaps he does need to keep that glove on.
It's not rocket science that last drive the rain ended completely and he balled out. Do we need hope every single game let alone playoff game has no rain??? I'd hate to live that way with a franchise QB.
He just need to get use to wear a glove. Hope no rain next week. I think he will be fine going forward.

If our coach is not an absolute moron at game management he gets another TD at the end of the first half, scores 31 and everyone's crowning him the next Montana.
Instead he's forced to overcome coaching having to throw from empty sets in obvious running downs and conditions...

A gritty playoff win like this one builds character. Could of been disastrous though if they lost it.

Superbowl teams need to build calluses to toughen up. We got humbled a couple of times this season and we clawed into a win in the playoffs. This is good learning experience for Brock.
This team just broke through a wall that has haunted them for years. It wasn't pretty. It wasn't sexy. It wasn't our best day. But when it mattered most, the boys found a way with the season on the line. Something we haven't really been able to figure out if we weren't dominating.

Dave Lombardi post game YouTube video, saying Purdy turned into Joe Montana at the end of this game. I mean come on I really like Lombardi and what he does covering the team, but good grief dude that's a damn exaggeration. I mean if he was really comparing something Brock did on that last drive to the most iconic play in the history of the NFL he really needs to check his Purdy fanboy-ness.

ultimately yea, this was a character builder. but man so many parts of the game plan were so flat... on both sides of the ball...

Lamar looked like s**t in the first half today. Love played just as bad as Purdy tonight. Purdy clearly had some issues tonight. He was missing some throws that he doesnt normally miss. More then likly he just really struggles throwing a wet ball. All that matters is that he kept his cool and got it done in the end. This is playoff football. Purdy has us two straight wins away from winning a Superbowl

He's basically a cheer leader with all his takes; the 180 of Grant Cohn.
