Yeah struggle in a game, and then throw ice cold darts on the final drive to advance in the playoffs..... Don't have a clue why that would summon up memories of Joe. Montana ( for fans that actually know and watched Joe Montana)

Ya definitely not like the game where Joe had 3 picks until the he put together the game winning drive that became known as The Catch

Different era and these Packers are not the 1981 Dallas Cowboys.

There's no denying Purdy was off. I definitely don't think it's bc he's not good or he was chocking.

A long time off and then trying to shake that rust off in the rain was not ideal.

But what he showed is 100 times more impressive than what he did to the Seahawks last year in the playoffs, or any other game.

99% of QBs would've folded there on that final drive. He put together a great drive basically making every throw + that 9 yard run that set up the TD. That means and shows a lot more than you can put up points on a team whenever everything is going right.

No Deebo, OL playing poorly, throwing bad balls, drops, Kyle not calling enough runs, this should've been a loss. Instead this kid showed that he has IT.

Some fans think Joe and Steve were 25-30 4 touchdowns and 0 picks with 400 yards every play off game. Lol just not tethered to reality - play off games can be ugly. All that matters is if you win. Brock overcame a lot and showed up when we needed him most. So did the defense.

That final drive was full of big plays. Dude the pass to Aiyuk that's he caught was insane - great throw and catch. Just an epic drive.

You can still admit that he played mostly poorly while also giving him his due diligence. He's going to have to play better next week.

For sure, he has a lot to improve on. You also have to cut him slack - red hot team, deebo out, wet conditions etc. it wasn't like this was an easy game - all the pressure in the world. He came through, something a qb hasn't done for us in this capacity the entire time kyle has been here. It's freakin awesome.

let's get a lil real, BA cooked his matchup and Brock couldn't hit the broadside of the barn, he was high to JJ, he whiffed a screen pass
he got pick 6'd but for GB dropping the ball, hit the DB right in the numbers, spent most of the game shaking his head at himself
style points mean zero, but it was a poor showing, the team overcame a poor showing I think a lot of the team played poorly, Brock had as bad a game as anyone in red

Don't disagree with any of this. Do conditions matter? Does losing our #1 WR matter? Does playing from behind the whole game matter? Does having a poor pass blocking OL matter? Do dropped balls matter?

The answer is yes. And he found a way to overcome all of that. EPIC playoff win. And you and others want to dwell on the bad plays and shaky stats. Sure, by all means. But this is on par with random spending a week blaming Jimmy for Kittle's dropped pass in our glorious 13-10 win at Green Bay. Absolutely pathetic in my opinion.

He played well when it mattered most and Love turned into Paxton Lynch when it mattered most.

Purdy needs to look over the film and get his mind right for next week because I have a feeling that the Lions and their aggressive defense will be coming to town.

Was just nice not getting the worst 4th quarter playoff qb play ever for a change. Makes a difference.

Point is Brock struggled throughout the game until their final drive. Same with Joe in 81'

Some of you with the continued Brock hate is laughable.
i love brock but he f'n sucks with a wet ball

he was shook for sure and got away with some bad decisions for sure, but he had a great drive at the end and that's all that matters. Let's hope this builds him proper and he's way better next week.

Joe threw a dropped INT before he hit Taylor for the TD in the SB. He also threw a dropped 4th QTR pick before the Catch....

Some times you have to be lucky......

Or in the case of Brock have a really healthy prayer life, and back-up from on high.

Brock reminds us every once in a while that he is a young QB with limited experience, that has a very risky nature throwing the football.

Dude has a ton of Bret Farve in him, without all the tools that Farve had to get away with it.

Right now, this offense is way too damn Deebo centric, and relies on his motions moving the defense. I think that plus the play-action (lack of play-action) is not doing Brock any favors.

I seriously against this empty backfield stuff with Brock.

Era doesn't matter, clutch is clutch.

And other QBs have done this to in the new era, the list is small, and that's what makes it impressive what Purdy has done.

Mahomes when they beat us was looking bad for 3 and a half quarters, until he turned it on when it mattered. Purdy did the same, he didn't choke like our previous QB when things weren't going well and it was lose or go home.

Ya but I'm really glad Purdy didn't throw one pick let alone three like Joe did in this game! Lol

Man, I'm not hating on Brock. I was defending him during the game when things looked bleak. He was clutch on that last drive, no question. It's just... do we really need to start invoking the Catch and Joe Montana? We were favored by 10.5 points going into this game, Brock saved us from a massive embarassment.

All of this. There's just no way these guys saw Jow and Steve actually play because they each s**t the bed multiple times in the playoffs. Like WAY worse than this. Purdy isn't perfect and the team isn't built to play from behind, but he made it happen. Work in progress. And still with a great chance to win it all. The expectations are absurd.

In a sense, the offense is a ball control offense - so not built to come from behind. However, I think the fact that the offense is so explosive is *one reason* that Brock and this offense was able to come back. 0-30 to 1-31. To me, it is a big deal - that Kyle's finally been able to come from behind and win in the 4th quarter.

I think the QB is one big reason that Kyle came from behind today.
