That game was stressful. More than anything, during the Shanahan era, this was one of the only wins in rain we've had. Deebo is definitely a key. Not sure if he'll be available in a week, but three weeks (assuming we get there) seems likely. This was Brock's worst game of his career, minus a perfect 4th quarter comeback. While he threw 4 picks against the ravens, he actually had more interceptable passes in this game. Glove on/off. Deebo hurt. Run defense soft. It had all the markings of a loss. This exact situation was one of the narratives in Purdy… couldn't win when it was not going well, couldn't stay in shotgun and come from behind. So in that sense, it was a huge confidence boost. Early weather forecasts don't have rain for next week.

He was bad all game but I'm going to give him credit for making a great play on the TD throw and coming up clutch when we needed it. Hopefully he can work on the wet ball issues as he gains more experience. Thank god we play on the west coast, lol.

Here's the key:

Who gives a s**t what a narrative driven sports entertainment media says?

We are two games away from the ultimate prize. I'm a fan of the team first. Do not care that people are obsessed about arguing which QB is the best, most elite, and all that other nonsense.

Come from behind win to get to the NFC championship game? Check.

Complete and utter meltdown from our fanbase? Check.

Wouldn't be surprised if Kyle diles up some plays to take advantage of Brock's legs. His ability to move the chains or score in the red zone is underestimated. Opposing defenses won't be prepared. Not saying this should be a staple (don't wanna get him hurt), but nfc cc / superbowl is when u pull out the stops.

I would put money on those legs for sure

Can't have a comeback unless the team played s**tty most of the game. He rose up when it mattered and now we're back in the nfc championship!

Lol, he def did a good job squeezing through a couple openings last night on those sneaks.

Obviously that hasn't been the norm. But whatever the reason was, it's not gonna quiet the haters.

He was good when he needed to be. Got lucky a few times, and we made just one more play Green Bay did.

Hopefully he continues the trend of bouncing back after a rough outing.

Careful you're not allowed to say stuff like that in here

I agree with the OP… some terrible throws last night. On the other hand, it should be encouraging that he threw a few of those bad passes into the dirt instead of trying to force it. I actually saw a lot of growth last night… even when the pressure was on at the end of the game he didn't force it. In the past we'd have thrown an interception towards the end of the game.

could be said that was the difference in the game, purdy didn't overly force it towards the end of the game, Jordan love did.

we won a sloppy game, from behind, with injured deebo, in the rain, with some questionable decisions from Kyle. I can say confidently we've never done that before. Growth. Context

Aaaaand playing behind a pass protecting a-s of an oline. Kyle was aweful last night.

Exactly
Love Brock but a couple of things:

1. Keep your feet moving to stay in rhythm and not stand flat footed delivering passes. Too many attempts like that last night.

2. Can not have any more quarter to quarter and a half of not good play. It will get this team bounced real quick next round or the one after.

Yes! He squirts through little gaps. Almost as if he went between one of the OLman's legs.

It was definitely an F-game from Shanahan. We're lucky to have won, but it may have been the best win we could hope for. You'd have to assume if we make it to the SB, it'll be a close game.
