Also. Is it me or do our guys have trouble beating man coverage?

I feel like we struggle more against zone. I think we usually destroy when it's man coverage. I may be wrong but that's how it seems to me. I'd have to look at the stats

I'll wait till folks break down the all22, but it looks like Brock took two deep man shots to Aiyuk, and he lost on the routes both times-- though he didn't quit on the plays either time, breaking up and potential int on the first land completing the catch on the second.

I think Purdy usually feasts on zone. But he's also good against man. Tough to tell in real-time and with broadcast views, but I'm guessing that because we couldn't get the run game going, the Lions were able to drop their linebackers deep to disrupt a lot of our favorite concepts. Combined with some spotty o line play and the resulting constant pressure, it was enough to really impact our game plan.

One that that seems clear to me is that we couldn't win this game with Goff. And if the Lions had Purdy, they'd have absolutely murdered us. Brock was throwing dimes under constant pressure, often on the run or off his spot, and even taking hits as he releases the ball. If he had the time behind a stable pocket that Goff had all game, I can't imagine what he'd have been able to do.

Another thing that seems clear to me this that Purdy has ice in his veins. Watching his footwork throughout the game and watching the strike of his helmet blast through progressions under constant pressure was wild. I thought he played well in the first half given the conditions. And watching the highlights video really cements my real-time perception: The Lions didn't give almost anything to Purdy-- he took it.

Chiefs don't have the running game like the lions do. Theirs isn't bad but I don't think we will get as tore up.

Sure but I think this D limiting Mahomes is the biggest issue.

Niner fans are more harsh on this team than reality. We have some issues that need adjustments, mainly run defense, but outside of that we are a very good team.

I think mahommes should always be favored though. We got this mofo! #RevengeSZN
