IIRC he said that there's 10 players more important on the team than Purdy.
Cam is trying to stay relevant by hating on Mr Irrelevant.
He's so jealous that's beautiful.

Only time he made it to the Super Bowl he had 10 pro-bowlers on his team

Von Miller owned him also
Super Bowls define you

Naah. Not really.

What defines you is the way you play football.

SCAM Newton acting up again. He got kicked out of the league because he was an interception machine and can't "manage a game." He's a clown hat with CLOWN TAKES. He can't play in the league anymore. He can't even get a legitimate radio show. He does his own little podcast. He can't get on ESPN or FS1. Not legitimate enough. He's jealous as hell and a has been. He had tons of talent on that team and wasn't always their best player.

He got kicked out of the league because he sucked at that point, broken down body that couldn't run anymore or take hits.

Welp, that was random

It was direct. Some of the greatest players ever didn't do anything in any Super Bowls.

It's another one of those cliches that "sounds great" but really means nothing.

Lamar Jackson can't handle the mental side of the game (he is an all time choke artist) so that's a joke as well. Brock basically just replicated Burrow's best season and Stroud was a rookie. He's clearly at least as good as Dak overall and better in the clutch. Love? Really?

The only no brainers on this list are Allen and Mahomes. Herbert has shown he is right there but has had horrible coaching. Basically top 5 is:

Mahomes
Allen

then in no particular order

Burrow
Herbert
Purdy

and then let's see what Stroud does.

Those other dudes? GTFO.

Honestly I think Mahomes should be in a tier by himself. I honestly think he is an alien.

Ya but Cam was no Barry.

He was very good for 3-4 years as pro, and obviously a unicorn for college football. But he didn't transcend the game like Barry did.

Still, I think Marino is always going to go down as the most deserving player to not with a SB, and no one is gonna question how good he was.

It means something, I think for most ppl Cam his SB loose balls, are the play that comes to mind, and ppl reference that above. Hard to get far in a Barry convo without the no rings coming up, same with Barkley or Marino or whoever, perhaps not fair as it's a team game, sure, but it's what defines folks, nonetheless. A lot of folks this will be the first time seeing Brock. Not all are diehards, SBs bring out the casual fans, and even those who aren't really sports fans per se. What Brock does here will define him for quite a while.

You nailed it bringing up the casual fans. That's who makes these ring/team based arguments, outside of media who cater to them.

This will mean so damn much if he wins this game.

If he loses it, I don't think it's the end of the world (I'm sure plenty will really go after him in the media) and he'll definitely have my support still. What he's about to do is very rare for a 2nd year QB though.

Only 3 QBs have done that - Brady, Big Ben, Wilson

And none of them had nearly his kind of success this early on as players.

This is why it's so hard to understand the hate. He's not some 10 year journey man QB that just came out of no where and is playing complementary team football. He's had 1 year and a half NFL experience and leading one of the best offenses we've ever had and making plenty of off script throws.

I do understand the we have great talent on offense part, even Jimmy was able to get a bunch of wins on this team. But Brock is doing so much more in every statistical category, and on top of that he's shown the clutch gene. I don't care if Purdy isn't this elite all world athlete QB that can be like Mahomes and still do good with whatever he has around him. Purdy might never be that, but I know at least this kid is tough af, has the grit, passion, and that clutch gene. As long as we continue to field a good team around him, we should always have a chance to win.

Montana admitted Marino was the best ever, and can't even begin to entertain Brady as being better.

Regardless if that's his way of slighting Brady, to openly admit Marino was the best is saying something.

Absolutely the best thrower of the football the game has ever seen.
Rings matter for a legacy…it doesn't determine if you're a "game changer" or "game manager" which is what was being talked about.

not one single person is taking Dilfer/brad Jonson over Jimmy Kelly or Dan Marino.

You can't win Super Bowls with out having a f**king talented team. So Cam saying Brock has talent around him is irrelevant. What great QB didn't have talent around him?

Brady, like Montana, was an all time great QB in an all time great situation for the majority of his career. It's nice to see him give credit to another outstanding player that didn't have the same kind of support around him.
