The term "Game manager" just gets taken as an insult. But that doesn't mean Cam is wrong. Purdy has everything in place to be successful, he's not being asked to carry the team. That's literally what a game manager is...
If Purdy is able to read the numerous defense players that are preparing to attack. Can he call a change in plays? It might be possible at some point if he can successfully pass the ball to a wide receiver or tight end when he makes the throw. He performed well; keep going!

Scott Van Pelt said Cam Newton's opinion matters because he's an MVP QB. But does that make his opinion better than 4x SB winning QB Joe Montana or SB winning QBs Steve Young and Kurt Warner? Of course not! No one wants to win the MVP and not even make it to the Super Bowl. Ask 7x GOAT Tom Brady! So listen to Cam. But you also have to acknowledge the other great QBs that actually won a Super Bowl!

It is a fair assessment to compare Lamar and Cam, both running first qbs that took time to develop a passing game. For Cam to even speak on Purdy name, Purdy already has more playoff wins than Cam. Cam was 3-4 overall in playoffs! Sorry Cam, Purdy is getting better and made the SB in just his 2nd season.

A QB who can't manage a game can't win in the NFL. Just ask Cam Newton who had losing seasons 8 out of 11. Often sandwiched between the few winning seasons. Oh, wait, Newton, the glorified running-back, never understood that.

Brock Purdy is a game manager who can flick the switch to a game changer when necessary as he has in the last two playoff games.
Marino hopes he wins—but picked against him. Use it as fuel, Brock! Not even your hero believes in you!

To support the 49ers and against the great QB, Elway lost a lot of SBs. Marino never won any. Kelly lost a bunch.
Nick Foles won a SB vs Tom Brady. There are teams involved, and a great many guys will have a hand in who wins.

He's right it does matter. It's how we found out that Cam is an attention whore who begs for clicks by saying nonsense. That's good to know.

Marino would know a thing or two about getting an SB ring

Tbf though, yeah, it's "safer" to bet on Homes..but is it the wiser bet? I think Homes is too glorified. This ain't no Jimmy G, this ain't no fake Eagles team that only got in cause we had no qbs...whole different ball game man.

SCAM didn't even deserve that MVP. I believe Brady was better. I don't think he ever even had a year as good as Brock_STAR. Warren Sapp told him what's up.
#1 Brock is precisely the type of team guy who won't blow up the salary cap for himself. #2 All of SF players elevate each other's games - meaning there's no Brock if there's no Aiyuk and Deebo, but at the same time, no Aiyuk and Deebo if there's nobody can throw to them on time. #3 Why is the media stuck in saying Purdy and Shanahan has to be Mahomes and Reid? Why can't they be on an island themselves with this partnership? #4 How many people were drafted into a good situation, handed the keys to a Ferrari, but can't drive an offense and use those weapons? Some of it is the coach (like Raiders with Davante Adams), but most of it is the player's inability to perform. Tribusiky, Z Wilson, Daniel Jones, Mac Jones, the list goes on.

He had a great year. 35 TDs, 10 INTs, close to 4000 yards. And 10 rushing TDs 600+ yards...

Obviously what he's saying is stupid, but he's an even better year than Brock lol. Brock can now have a better year by finishing it off with the SB

And Lamar doesn't deserve it this year.
