We were one play away from beating Mahomes under Brock despite him having spent his entire offseason recovering from elbow surgery and having had no real offseason with the ones. I can only imagine what Brock can do with his first full offseason as a starter

I do believe we're in good hands with Brock

Same, I feel great about where we are Qb wise. Brock seems to have been grinding too - I know he's spentquite a bit of time with his qb coaches in Jacksonville's. Very exciting

Solid tosses indeed. Right on the money to Kittle, as usual:).

Guessing they got paid for that a little? Looks like a fun time.

That's what people keep forgetting, one, he hasn't had a full season as the main starter. They gave Trey Lance and Sam Darnold an opportunity to show something while Brock recovered. Two, he was coming off a major injury and wasn't even expected back week 1 or 2. I still can't believe Purdy turned in the season he had, constantly scoring in the 30's with 5 straight games scoring 0 or more points. And now Purdy has Pearsall and Cowing to throw to, as of right now, I'm expecting another 4k season. No 49ers QB has ever had back to back 4k seasons, Steve Young missed it by 31 yards, I bet Brock easily does that.

Brock drops that s**t right in the bread basket.

Brees was pretty damn good. They have similarities and I've been saying Brock Brees for idk, ever now...but better than Brees? Hmmm, I would go ahead and say probably just as good but better?....hmmm. Even I have a little reservation on that one. I would say, it's close. Brees was great in his own way and BP his way. They both are amazing. Brees is a fan of Brock's, very cool but who isn't?

Well the first two years of their careers (Brees and Purdy) weren't even close. Purdy already has equalled the accomplishments of Jimmy's 10+ year career in just two years. Brees didn't have the kind of level of accomplishments Brock had till he wound up with the Saints. But yeah, you really can't compare them given the different coaches/teams/players in both their careers, still I think Purdy is on a higher trajectory.

I'm hoping Brock gives us another 🏆 or 4.

Brocks timing and anticipation helps with his long ball throws. Kyle's ability to spot RB late round talent also helps. Add in an OLine that generally improved throughout the year and you had a superb 2nd season for Mr. Purdy.

Let's not forget that Brees had a major shoulder injury in 2005. It's amazing he was able to pull through and be successful after such an injury. But the wear and tear over the years took a toll. He says that today, he doesn't throw with his right arm anymore, as it has been too affected by the injury. He throws only left handed now:(. But what an amazing career he had as a qb..and also seems like an amazing person

For now, I'm glad ShanaLynch has decided to draft some linemen to protect Brock. I just simply don't want Brock's career cut short by injuries like Andrew Luck. Rehabbing from a serious I jury just saps a ton of spiritual and mental strength from a person. I don't know how guys like Verett do it time and time again.

So you think he has nothing to improve on? Brock's a finished player?

Definitely not and I'm excited to see him grow.

I got bit in the ass with Kap. I was one of his biggest fans, got his jersey as a rookie and I rarely buy jerseys and thought for sure he would keep developing and build on his hot start. We all know how that went.

QBs who aren't athletic freaks with huge arms can also grow and develop. Whether it's working on their mechanics, whether it's trying to get stronger, faster or going through timing drills with their receivers there is always stuff to work on. Drew Brees and Tom Brady never stopped working.

The growth Brock showed from his rookie year to last year was substantial and that was with a lot of rehab thrown in there.

Love the Brock Purdy doubt and nay sayers! Let's keep it coming! Also, only a moron would put tua and Richardson so high. Richardson is going to be a bust and tua is a Jimmy g clone. Lol I get Brock not being at the top of this list but this guy must be hammered.

Hey Shook it's never too early to reveal how intellectually challenged you are. Seriously, not to have Brock at least top 5 let alone top 10 is simply moronic. You might think it was just a major oversight by him but probably not.

Yeah I'm excited to see how he develops more now that he doesn't have to do rehab this offseason. I get the feeling Brock is like Brees and Brady constantly working and trying to improve.

Lol, didn't we all? I was kinda jazzed about him at first. We would watch Wolf Pack games at UNR..and was excited when he became a 49er..but..I wasn't excited for too long lol.

With Brock..it's so different. It's that confidence I had when Young or Montana was qb. It's like the good ol' days are back

I like this line of thinking. BP is going to be around for years to come and it is going to be fun to watch. I've been a fan for decades and BP has everything he needs to get what 9er fans have been waiting for the past 30 years. Believe!!!!

No. Neither guy is a HOFer or anything but no, ..this is extremely forced.

Trying to make Jimmy more than he was is a waste.

Which is why some are going to reject you suggesting how "bad" and "poor" everything else around Brock was to somehow hoist him up.

Jimmy "needed" that kind of outlandish talk. Brock doesn't. With a real QB,...we can just talk football now.

i asked the question.. but if you can't answer then there's your answer. plus, no player is a finished player

Lol I'm not making Jimmy more than anything? I just think tua is a very mediocre qb with inflated stats. When he is needed, he crumbles/messes up, like Jimmy always would. Tua is a decent qb (aka mediocre) but I'd never want him. I've told everyone for the last few years that the dolphins aren't anything to really worry about and that Buffalo would take the division this year… oh look what's consistently happened? Tua holds them back more than people care to admit cause he has a worthless stat like "yards" super high. Dude has insane weapons around him, he better get a bunch of yards tua stacks stats up against bad teams and sucks against good teams.

who's suggesting stuff around Brock was "bad" or "poor"? Lol only thing around Brock that can be discussed being "poor" is pass protection (minus Trent).
