I think the fact that Brock is Mr. Irrelevant helps us. He has been better than Lawrence, but no one other than us who watch him every day agrees with that.

LOL
Simms is a nimrod. Lol I bet Love would have won the SB with a wonderful, across-the-body throw, like the one in the playoffs against us 😏

The #Jaguars have reached a deal with their star QB Trevor Lawrence. Sources says they are giving the former No. 1 pick a 5-year extension worth $275M — $55M a year — with $200M guaranteed and $142M fully.
Lawrence's agent Jay Courie of @mgcsports did the deal. 💰 pic.twitter.com/C3BaDgsjEV
for an idea on cost
For Pantene Lawrence huh? Too bad he isn't spectacular. But his glossy shine is.

He was given multiple open throws due to guys slipping on the field and busted coverages. Love didn't play well vs SF imo. Still think he's good and talented

Folks will argue that Lawrence would be much better on this team vs if Brock was in Jax

The problem with Simms is all rankings are based on physical tools and not production. So he never takes into equation IQ, reading defenses, accuracy, processing, toughness, leadership etc etc. Nope he goes off of how big and strong you are and how fast you are. He probally never had Tom Brady as the best QB.
I just want him to keep that same energy with other guys like Love or Dak. Love had a f**k ton of wide open throws in that playoff game. He's got a damn good play caller…. Dude's are schemed open all the same.

Lets be honest if Simms knew anything about real QB play he'd be one. But he crumpled in any big game he was in... See texas vs Colorado 2001 big 12 title game. Colorado's 2nd (Pesavento) and 3rd string (Hodges) QBs outplayed him till he got replaced by Applewhite and Texas almost won once Simms sat his booty on the bench never to return again.
He had a brief flash of no film success and once the league knew he sucked he went and beat up his spleen to stop playing. Also look up Gruden talking to Simms and telling him he's a f*cking moron for his NFL resume.

He will get about $50 million. $135 million guaranteed. I don't see him getting $55 million. $45 million would be better to keep more of the team together. Cross that bridge when we get there. Just play ball this year and see what happens. Sometimes things change if you have an injury or whatever. If he's healthy, plays well again, we advance pretty deep again he will get paid. Quite a lot. But I don't think it will be very top numbers. Slightly less but still a lot compared to most.

And it's all QBs.
The market for QBs compared to other positions is very unbalanced, this lacks the context mentioned.

Here's the convo
Chris Simms on Jordan Love and Brock Purdy:

I love how he doesn't bring up that Love had a guy WIDE OPEN for an easy TD that game and his really only other big play was off a PI. Neither QB played great that game imo.
Same dude who called Brock a lesser Mac Jones last year. So he's basically a talking head now who knows f**king with the 49ers fanbase will have his takes spread all over - good or bad it's interaction.
Jordan Love threw 2 picks and also had one other INT dropped by Lenoir in the 4th quarter. This BS about "he should've thrown 7 INTs" is such a tired and sad take from a spiteful guy who can't take the s**t he gets from 49er fans on social media.

Lol it fits. If he cut his hair, he would shrink into a little goblin and scurry into a lonely, dark and damp cave. Only a Polamalu Fairy could grant him a wish to be restored. But they are very rare.

Bingo, I was gonna say the same thing. QBs are getting much more FGTD cash in their contracts compared to other positions. Not apples to apples
T Hill's contract is a perfect example of why APY means nothing. His final year is essentially a void year with a $56M cap hit, it pumps up his APY to go from $25M per to $30M per, which is not reality and more about the agent/player getting to say my APY is such and such. He will never see that last yr of his deal as it currently is. Same can be said for the St. Brown and Adams' contracts…folks arguing about fluff.
