great watch - I feel like we have seen way less PA this year than usual. Idk if we really are but it feels like it.

when you really breakdown the film on Brock… damn he's a top notch qb.

RB fumbles, Shanahan coaching, defensive collapses are at play. Plus special teams disasters. Purdy played really well. Especially against the Rams. They literally said on the show it was because of Purdy.

Problem one is thinking anything Damien Woody says holds water

Maybe so. But he still said it on his show. A lot of people listen to this stuff. Other fans around the league.

When Jamar Chase gets huge yards after the catch with blazing speed they don't complain about it. It's just "great throw Joe Burrow." On that play Purdy had to shift in the pocket to allow the time. If he throws too deep the over the top guy intercepts it. If he throws too short the underneath guy intercepts it. The only place is to put it a little inside and in between both defenders. Exactly where he put it. It even leads Deebo to more yards after the catch because of where he put it. In other words it's actually a dime.

Imagine being so far down the rabbit hole that Purdy throws a dime for a long touchdown and all you can come up with is criticism. It's just unbelievable how far gone some of these people are.

Yup. Chase has had multiple routine short passes taken to the house this year. You also never hear about how much talent Burrow is playing with on the offense side of the ball as an excuse when it comes to his stats. And IMO the offense around him is better then ours. No question better at WR. Also, I think coming into the Seahawks game the Niners were dead last in YAC this season. I have heard this excuse with Purdy in previous years when we were #1 in YAC, not so much this year though. Clearly that guy is an idiot.

Yes I agree with a lot of what you said there.

It's unfair that he gets blamed for things he didn't cause. Also that he gets no credit. The perception around the league fans is wrong and unfair.

Dude.. at this point, no one actually saying that stuff really believes it. It just creates controversy - which generates clicks/views/shares - which generates money and publicity.

Just about all football fans I know or run into, says how awesome Brock is to me.

There could be some of that going on. Also some fan bases hate the 49ers. Because of their overall historical success. So they like to pile on Purdy. To get at 49ers fans and frustrate them. I think some of that happens.
People really want Brock to fail for some reason. Idk if its cause people hate San Francisco and its politics and just project that onto the team, or just embarrassed they didn't get Brock right either and want every reason to be proven right. At this point it is what it is, he won't quiet the haters until he wins a superbowl, but even if the team around him will get all the credit.

Its the admitting wrong part. Darnold has a good stretch and he's back to.elite status because 7 years ago.thats what people thought. Brock has one bad game and he isn't anything special. The narratives die hard.

It's a lot of DRAFTISM + Height, Weight, Speed (he's not bad here - even quick. Just not blazing). Draft position and combine super star is where people get their impression. Plus people have a certain body type where you can just see it. He's subject to that bias a lot. Like Josh Allen at 6'5" 250 lbs and running around with a rocket arm. You could put a cape on him. He looks like Superman. He just has the dimensions and look. Purdy does not. But he's processing, timing, anticipation, reads, progressions, mechanics, accuracy, quicker than given credit for. He just does it a different way that fans and some pundits don't easily see.

Brock plays the QB position better than Josh Allen

Might be time to change, SD.
