The two Long plays to Kittle and Cowing should have been touchdowns but Brock underthrew on very soft passes.

Definitely a couple examples of the real limitations he has with the arm. Even the 2nd pick… which was clearly an incorrect route by Bell… he's having to throw it very early, with a lot of anticipation, to make sideline throws work. It works when you have players dialed in, not so much when they are replacements.

The offense was abysmal today. Brock was too. Kyle's end of first half management and playcalling did them no favors, and they looked way too sloppy from the jump, with extra time coming in.

Ha, Kyle Shanahan just burst the bubble on that. He just said in his presser that it was not on Bell, Brock just missed the throw and it was 100% his fault.
can't believe it, way too off.

I can believe Brock screwed up the read while Bell made the correct route adjustment, but there's no way Brock meant to throw it to where Bell ran to. I'm not buying he was just that inaccurate there. It would be his most inaccurate throw of his career by a mile (at least on plays he wasn't hit on). In Brock's mind he threw that expecting Bell to run up field, I guarantee it.

If Kyle can't get it to work with Purdy and the other 3-4 QB's hes had here maybe it's more of a Kyle problem.

Didn't see Kyle's press conference but interesting.

Brock was extra animated, for him, toward Bell coming off the field. Certainly looked like he thought it was Bell's fault.

s**t game either way for Brock.

Understand how football works. There's a time to check it down and there's a time to throw the ball down the field. It's really not that difficult.
check down if you don't have anything to throw to, Purdy is not that type of a guy Necessarily.
To me, the pass to juice was ok.

I don't think it's a bad thing he looks to push the ball down the field but he's doing that WAY more this year than he was last year. Last year he took what the defense gave him. This year he is being too greedy and always trying to get the big plays.

I wonder how much CMC being out is affecting his choices here. He doesn't seem to trust Mason as much on checkdowns.

I think a lot. CMC being an option was probably always #1 in his mind. This year he ignores Mason as a receiving threat.
Lol lots of Purdy dissin but dude, dnt forget, we didn't have three WRs, no CMC, Mason is playing so-so. On top of that, our o-line blows..defense missed tackles. It was a hot steamy mess

Especially a guy like Brock that does not "wait" until guys get open....

live by the sword, die by the sword.....

Let's hope this is a wake up call for Brock to realize.... there are times he has to take what the defense gives you.....check down is not a bad word...
Purdy is able to play without a pocket as well but just not all the time
He is not having a very good year. Let's see how he finishes but it may put the front office in a very difficult position.
I'm trying not to overreact. Purdy played like absolute sh** today. That much was obvious. He cost us the game, easily.

I'm looking at the other top QBs and they all have had games like this though. Josh Allen had two awful games like this last year, both close losses where he had 3 and 4 turnovers in each.

Dak threw two pick sixes in the playoffs. He's thrown a massive amount of scoring position picks this year.

Purdy has been horribly inconsistent this year, that's the biggest issue. And the problems have been primarily individual.

A great QB would be doing whatever it takes to win, sometimes that means just eating it for a sack, taking the easy completion, or throwing it away.

You can choose to buy it or not but Kyle Shanahan said it was on Brock.

Only talk about Kyle in the Kyle thread. Triple G taught me this.
Even all the Purdy boot lickers will admit he played horribly today. About as bad as the herpe on his lip.Take some valtrax, watch the film, and move on young man you'll do better against the cowgirls!

If Purdy is toast the FO should not get a 4th shot at finding a QB.

I myself know Brock is a solid QB and will get his money. But I will not excuse some of those int's today they were terrible decisions.
