I still can't believe the Jags paid Trevor that much. Just a crazy contract to give that guy.

True but all the contracts are crazy. I've been a sports fan for 70 years so I obviously enjoy them. They provide enjoyment and escape for millions every week when their team plays. Still that doesn't mean they should be paid as much as they are. These guys are being paid in the top 1/10th of 1% in the country. Only about 300 people n the entire country earn salaries of $2o million or more. Athletes shouldn't be among that group. I know it's called market value but that doesn't make it right.
More of this stuff…like young says there's free yards out there.

Beautiful throw

I like it when our qb gets yards on a broken play but I hate seeing designed runs with a qb.

brock keeps taking some solid hits to get first downs too. lol hopefully he can maintain avoiding them. Last thing we need is him hurt again

I remember seeing this live and I said "wow". Literally perfect and can't be defended. Those kind of throws are what beats great defensive play.

brocks made quite a few throws this year like that

Agreed. Will you tell the team or shall I?

(first time I agree with Strwy)

Ew

I know, it felt weird.

Yea but Trevor's height, weight, hair, and potential got him that contract

I think they deserve every penny they get. Some die or commit suicide before 50. Others live with lifelong problems all over their body and head. Who are we to say what they deserve?

I agree. I dont have any issue with what people make and if they can maximize their pay. He mentioned market value but that is generated by the consumer. The NFL makes so much money so if the players didn't get paid then the ownership makes more money. I'd rather see the players get theirs for the talent and sacrifice that they make to their bodies.

Also, they might be in a bracket that is 1/10th of the tip the top 1% but they are elite at what they do. That type of skill set deserves to be rewarded.
This FO has a history of overpaying players.
Why should they all of a sudden underpay Brock?

100%. Not sure why that's even a talking point. Shear stupidity.

There's a difference between getting paid well and getting overpaid. Getting paid more isn't going to stop these guys from committing suicide and the physical problems would be the same if they made $2 million per year as they are when they make $30 million. More money doesn't ease the pain.

I understand the market value crap but that's the fault of owners and agents allowing it to get out of hand. Football isn't any better when players get paid more. In fact you could argue that it's worse because players get too comfortable with those big guarantees. It's just crazy that a few players should make that much money. We're talking about being in the top 300 earners in the entire country. More than nearly every CEO in the country. More than the Governor or President. Those jobs are far more important nd impact way more people. Other than 3 hours of entertainment each week what do football players contribute to society?
