Kyle will likely be fired after 2025. That means new coaching staff. Let them decide whether they think Brock is the future of this franchise…

Yes, quality FA players will be breaking down the door to play for a team that treats their star players like that.

I'm not even that worried about other players, I'm worried that Purdy might give us the middle finger for doing that.

People who think we should let him hit the market are delusional. Would be the dumbest thing Niners did since firing Harbs for being a big meanie.

Sure shows the level that Jared Goff is being carried.

So we should pay him less than the amount we paid a vastly inferior player?

Jimmy in this system wasn't great, but he was good and people can say as many negative things about him. But bad QB's don't go 13-3 with a trip to the Super Bowl, no matter how good the defense was. Baltimore, for years, had one of the to defenses in the league and along with an QB that won the MVP. How many Super Bowls has Lamar Jackson been to? So is Purdy "vastly" better than Garoppolo or is Purdy just a product of the surrounding talent? With the same talent, even Jimmy went 4-0 before getting hurt then Purdy took over and went 7-0. With more talent, Purdy went 12-5. Would you say 12-5 and a SB loss is better than 13-3 with a SB loss? Because in the end, like it or not, wins and losses are what a QB is known for. Without all that talent, Purdy has looked like the last pick in the draft.

Gtfo, Jimmy g was and is pure f**king trash. Not even close to BP. Happy feet with no mobility and a ten cent brain.

Anyone that watches the games can see Brock is vastly superior. Runs the offense better, smarter with the football, more accurate. Those 4 games Jimmy had he was only good for a game and a half. Rewatch the Chargers and Saints game. Rewatch the Rams game first half. Then watch what Brock was doing when he came in.

We saw what Jimmy was without Kyle. Brock would still be a functional NFL starter without him. Zero chance Jimmy would be where Brock is on the above chart.

If Brock was "vastly" better, shouldn't this team be better? What's better than getting to a Super Bowl? Winning one, which Brock failed. Exactly what Jimmy did as well. Smarter with the football? 4 of 7 INT's have come in the red zone. I wouldn't exactly call that "smarter". More accurate? Last year, Brock had a completion percentage of 69.4%. That was with Deebo, CMC, Aiyuk and Kittle. This year, he's at 64.5% In 2019 in that SB season, Garoppolo had a completion percentage of 69.1% and he didn't have Aiyuk of CMC. He had Kittle, a rookie Deebo and Emmanuel Sanders.

I was a die hard Jimmy G fan, but no frickin way is Jimmy G better than Purdy. You're just looking at stats btw.

They are better on offense. By every metric. Defense carried the team in 2019 for the most part.

Brock didn't have Aiyuk this week. Hasn't had CMC all year. Yet look where he ranks above.

Look at the difference in YPA.

To suggest paying Jimmy the highest paid contract in the league was smart but not paying Brock even that much when the price for a QB has doubled is asinine.

That's a long way of saying "yes, Jimmy is a vastly inferior player than Brock."
