That was with Deebo, CMC, Aiyuk and Kittle. This year, he's at 64.5% In 2019 in that SB season, Garoppolo had a completion percentage of 69.1% and he didn't have Aiyuk of CMC. He had Kittle, a rookie Deebo and Emmanuel Sanders.
Brock left the field with the lead in the SB. the defense ultimately blew it. go cry about it somewhere else.

He did it three times, actually.
- TD to Jennings to make it 16-13.
- FG to make it 19-16.
- FG to make it 22-19.
Every time we got the lead, the defense let the Chiefs drive right down the field and tie the game back up, and ultimately win it in overtime.
- FG to make it 16-16.
- FG to make it 19-19.
- TD to win 25-19.

It depends on how you view it. If you're a Niner fan then it was the defense letting the Chiefs drive right down the field. If you're a Chiefs fan then it was great drives by the Chiefs offense. Always 2 sides in football.

Both of those viewpoints support the fact that Brock left the field with the lead multiple times.

And Garoppolo didn't have a two score lead with 7 minutes left in the game? The defense then gave up 21 points in that time, but that was all Jimmy's fault for overthrowing Sanders right?

Difference was the Chiefs in 2019 were an elite offense that came back from huge deficits all playoffs with an average defense. 2022 Chiefs were an elite defense with a middling offense.
Secondary let the team down in both games. But only one guy was facing a much more formidable opponent.

Jimmy deserved 25 million in 2017 but Brock doesn't even deserve 25 million today.
Even Faithful wouldn't argue that

Brock didn't have Aiyuk this week. Hasn't had CMC all year. Yet look where he ranks above.
Look at the difference in YPA.
To suggest paying Jimmy the highest paid contract in the league was smart but not paying Brock even that much when the price for a QB has doubled is asinine.
And there is the classic "defense carried" that team. Where was that defense when the played the Saints that year and gave up 46 points? They were the second ranked defense that year, but towards the end of the season, they weren't all that good. In the last 4 regular season games of 2019, opposing teams averaged nearly 32 points a game. But Brock has this terrible defense and he's carrying this team right? Lets skip this year first because there are a lot of injuries, but in 2023, the Niners were ranked #3 in defense. You get what I'm saying there? Jimmy with the #2 defense goes to a SB and its because of the defense and run game. Everything but Jimmy. Brock goes to the SB with the #3 defense, one of the best backs in the league and its all Purdy. I'm not here saying Jimmy deserves all the credit. I'm just asking, why is Brock getting all the credit? Its fan goggles and Jimmy-hating.

The Chiefs were an elite offense that Saleh's defense stifled for 3.5 quarters, then went into a prevent defense that was okay giving up 20-30 yard passes to Mahomes.

I suspect most people here, and fans in general, don't watch the games, and either look at box scores, or listen to the media to tell them who the "good" QBs are.
It's why hardly any fans recognize the fact that Patrick Mahomes is the most overrated athlete in the history of organized sports. The dude rarely does anything more than hit the ocean from a rowboat (and on short, underneath throws, at that), and yet since the media made him the face of the NFL, we're expected to believe he's somehow the "GOAT" as his defense carries him to SB win after SB win.
Try watching the Aaron Rodgers highlights video on Youtube and then come back here and tell me Mahomes is the "GOAT" with a straight face. It's utterly laughable.
Watching the games, you see that Brock has NOT played well this year, and while I agree that the Brock of last season is better than Jimmy ever was, Jimmy was better in 2019 than the current Brock, and I'm not even sure the current Brock is better than Jimmy was in 2021.
The only things Brock has on Jimmy now is durability, mobility, and attempting vertical throws. Jimmy had a much quicker release and was a quicker processor.
Brock has been even more inaccurate than Jimmy was in 2021, aside from the deep ball (where he has been underthrowing people constantly this year), where Jimmy was the worst I've ever seen.
When you actually compare Brock to other starting QBs, he's arguably bottom 5 in accuracy this year. Watch some videos of Kirk Cousins, for example, and you'll see that Cousins is as accurate as Brock was LAST YEAR. Only he's a much better processor.
Brock has been inaccurate even in his supposed "good games." Watch the TD he threw to Jennings at the back of the endzone on the rollout against the Rams. He threw it so far behind Jennings he almost gave the defensive back a play on the ball and it could have been picked. This is a routine throw. People were blaming Aiyuk for "dropping" balls thrown behind him. Even the Ronnie Bell drop was on a ball where Bell had an outside vertical release and Brock threw a poor ball that he hung inside, and Bell did a great job of adjusting to it.
Just as importantly, Brock is not a good processor, despite people assuming he must be because of where he was drafted and his success in the league. What Brock has is a photographic memory. He knows where all of his guys are supposed to be on a play, but he can't adjust mentally. He doesn't react well to what defenses do. When he guesses wrong pre-snap, he ends up either throwing to the defense, throwing it to an area that the receiver doesn't run to because the receiver adjusted and Brock didn't, or double clutching when he realizes he's about to throw a bad ball, as he has done multiple times this year. Brock's style is to throw earlier than any QB, when the receiver is halfway up his stem, and anticipate a route the receiver might not even run.
The reason to not pay him is simple: He's not the guy. The 49ers could trade for Kirk Cousins instead and get a 2016 Falcons type offense.
