Not exactly, he was present, but not the one winning those games

We've gone through this and don't need to rehash it

Burrow is not on Lamar's level but he's playing at a super high level right now.

The thing is people overreact to stuff like yesterday's game. Burrow was the #1 overall pick so he gets hyped for a good reason. He's also done a lot of great things in key moments so he gets the hype for good reason again.

But really Burrow's game isn't all that different from Brock. His arm is may a bit better but it's not on the level of Mahomes, Allen or Lamar. But fans see a big game like that with lots of back and forth scoring and act like that's what makes elite play. It's great for sure but I think you can tell more about top QBs when they're playing good defense and how they handle adversity.

Nick Foles went toe to toe with Tom Brady in a SB, you can argue he outplayed him. Did anyone call him elite?

Brock is never going to be on the level of those uber athletes who can also process the game at a high level. However that's not the only way to be an elite QB. If Brock continues to improve and make the smart decisions and make good throws there to be made or just limit the bad until the good is available he'll be exactly what we need to win SBs.

It's not really about the better arm. Take their mobility away and Burrow is easily a better qb even though jackson arm is more live. Jackson's threat to run is really what puts defenses in a bind. Now with Henry back there it's even harder. The problem for Lamar is that defense in the playoffs that's able to contain him. He's not a passer like Burrow when that happens

Disagree on that. His arm is ok, but I would not call it "live". Burrow has the better arm talent, but Jackson's mobility sets him apart.

Here's an interesting comparison:

Jimmy Garoppolo in his last eight games before CMC arrived:

5-3 W/L, 68% cmp rate, 2,026 yds, 10 td, 7 int

Purdy in his eight games so far this year (without CMC obviously):

4-4 W/L, 65% cmp rate, 2,101 yds, 10 td, 7 int

Albeit - Purdy has done way more damage with his legs than Jimmy G.

No comparison at all. CMC is not the only thing happening. This is the once every 15 years nightmare year. Where your whole team is injured. Purdy is more accurate his entire career. He can throw down the field. He's a better runner. He can buy time and play off schedule. Just better in every way. There is no comparison to Jimmy G who is helpless by comparison.

Both Jimmy and Brock are very good at missing walk in TDs with terrible under throws.

Brock has not missed nearly as many as Jimmy. You're just a hater at this point.
get you s**t together Purdy. f**king ridiculous
Patience is wearing thin with this hesitant b******t
With the exception of that last pass, Purdy is throwing dimes out there today.

Eh. The deebo one was awful and derailed the drive. I'm being super critical, just expected better out if the bye

Oh well, it's all outside of our control!

When the defense is not as effective, which it has been at times, it tends to lead to mistakes. Yeah, Purdy made that mistake. But why?
Purdy keeps looking deep and ignoring free yards if he dumps it off

I'd gladly take 5 RB passes to drive down the field

Free yards
He missed a ton of open guys but they weren't his first read... who's fault is that?
That was a great playmaking, winning type of play. Just what you hope for from your QB1.
haven't watched the game. according to stats he was lights out
Even today one can see the arm strength disparity between Baker and Brock but Brock is using more legs to keep plays alive.
