These are emotionally charged casuals who think because they have Internet access people will believe they are experts.

Admittedly as I have grown older and have other priorities and responsibilities I am more casual than I used to be.

Everything is in the moment without context too. Early in the game against Dallas and even today people were saying Brock was average. By the end of the game he has put up the stats to win.

Someone should tell this "expert" that Lamar might want to do something in the postseason except crap the bed if he's going to be elite.

That was such a great throw too. I want to see the All 22 on that one because it looked like Tampa just had really good coverage and Purdy ended up being patient, directing the action and getting it into the endzone.

Agreed. While he was scrambling around on that throw, you could see Purdy trying to direct traffic. Then, Kittle wasn't very open but it was perfectly placed where only Kittle could catch it. Kittle did a great job of "boxing out" in the corner and also coming down inbounds.
I thought he played pretty well in this game overall.
Great game by Brock. He definitely elevated the team today
25/36 for 353 yards (and 17 yards rushing) and two touchdowns. No turnovers. Game-winning drive.

The game thread owes him a massive apology lol

He did, I think everyone is just frustrated with the RZ issues keeping games closer than they should be.

That game shouldn't have been close, but our inability to close drives plus ST momentum swings is a killer.

Brock is far from our problem. He's been one of the shining stars of this year for us. He hasn't been perfect but damn awesome most of the year - he just can't do it himself.

- he's surrounded by the worst separating skill players in the league.
- worst YAC
- bad red zone offense
- kyle hasn't had his best play calling this yeae
- below average pass blocking
- below average run blocking
- Aiyuk was trash the first quarter of the year
- no CMC
- inconsistent running game

None of this includes the HORRIFIC ST through out the year. Decent defense.

etc etc - there hasn't been much to love about this team this year. Just sloppy and inconsistent all year.

Brock has far from been the problem.

This. RZ failures and Jake Moody are the only reason this game was as close as it was. Luckily, both are fixable problems.

Yes. He played very well. He still seems off compared to the past 2 years.
He's been off the first half in the last few games and then turned it around second half. Brock needs to do whatever he's been doing at half time before the game.

Some of the reason he may have been off in the beginning of the year is the fact he was without the OPY Christian now that hes back I expect Brock to play a little more like he was. To me he has been a little different but not enough to be a problem. I think the offensive scheme without Christian contributed to his play also.
He was little rusty or something to start. Missed JJ twice and didnt see Pearsall open on the first series. Missed two more throws later I think.

But he make a lot of big plays especially on 3rd down.

The Kittle TD and the throw to CMC before that were fantastic plays. He has a lot of pressure an a collapsing pocket often.

He was big down the stretch.

Overall his stats are pretty but more importantly he made plays under pressure to win it.
Growing pains. Happens to every QB.

The important part is that he's figuring it out as the game goes on and over time he'll recognise it earlier and know how to beat it from the start.

Frustrating now, but he's still levelling up.
QBs miss throws, it happens and Purdy is no exception

Did y'all see those wide open gimmes Baker was missing?
Stats through 9 games:

181/278
65.1%
12 TD
7 INT
2454 Yds

227 yards rushing, 3 TDs

If they can get their redzone scoring up his TD #s will increase, but otherwise he's been really good despite a few struggles here and there. He's on pace for 4600 yards and 23 TDs.
