He had no time to see that one. Get the guy better, more consistent pass blocking. That and better run defense inside should be the main goals for the offseason, however things may turn out.
not all dropbacks are busted protections.. there are times he's back there a lot holding the ball then throwing to a guy who can't get YAC.
I'm not saying he sucks or anything like that, but he used to be quick and decisive giving the offense a better flow.

The protection does him no favours, but I think some of that Is down to him holding on to the ball for too long? That being said, I thought he had a good game overall yesterday and that Td pass to Kittle was a thing of beauty.

I think Brock got more cautious after having 3 or more INT games he has had since he came in his first year. That first year, he was decisive, letting it rip. He's more aware of tipped balls and bad bounces. He taking a tic toc more. It's good and sometimes it's bad. We need Brock to develop and find his sweet spot. And hopefully his receivers help him out also by giving him more defined looks.

Man our pass pro got punked so bad. Even Trent is having a down year. Brendel is so so so so bad. I'm hoping Feliciano can get in there and show improvement.
"Every 49ers offensive lineman allowed at least one pressure, with Trent Williams and Jake Brendel conceding the most at three pressures each. Despite being the highest-graded lineman, Puni still allowed two pressures, while Brendel's 48.3 offensive grade and 17.6 pass-blocking grade were the lowest among the linemen"

I'm not saying Brock never holds onto it too long but I'd wager a good amount of the time he holds longer is cause no one is open - our skill guys have been horrible this year at getting separation.
couple poor separation with poor pass pro and it's a bad recipe.

nothing wrong with managing the game, meaning limit the negative plays. that's how we have a chance to win. QB needs to get after his guys all the time. tell them what he looks from them on each play. they aren't getting open, pass pro isn't what it's supposed to be, QB needs to give an earful that's how the great ones do it.

He's def clutch.. but i prefer the brock who could step on the throats of defenses early and not have to rely on late game heroics

There is plus and minus to that. Sometimes Brock gets really wild and wants to be a gunslinger. Even against the wrong team. Like the Chiefs who have elite cover CB's and an elite scheme and defensive coordinator. That can lead to big trouble. But he's at his best with timing, anticipation, throwing to a spot, let it rip, don't hold on to it too long. So when he gets cautious it's a problem too. Something in between is the right balance.

Weird, because I recall him having time in the pocket for the most part.

I remember once Kittle saying he is always open:). The George/Brock connection has been gold since day one.
But yeah, if Mahomes made that pass..Brady would have said, "Patrick" nonstop, having to wipe drool constantly. Lol

I expect Purdy and the offense to put up 30+ easily vs Seattle. The defense is lookin better too. Maybe Ward and Greenlaw return?
