I expect Purdy and the offense to put up 30+ easily vs Seattle. The defense is lookin better too. Maybe Ward and Greenlaw return?

Like the Chiefs who have elite cover CB's and an elite scheme and defensive coordinator. That can lead to big trouble. But he's at his best with timing, anticipation, throwing to a spot, let it rip, don't hold on to it too long. So when he gets cautious it's a problem too. Something in between is the right balance.
tell him to let it rip and if he gets a lil too wild we got deebo to come around and fix the issue get him 'locked in'
I see Deebo loafing on that scramble to Kittle TD.

Purdy was upset that last year everyone said he couldn't win coming from behind, so he had to show them this year.

so it wasn't just me. it was scramble drill, and BP kept looking that way and Deebo was not scramble drilling. he was just putzing around.

I'm not saying Brock never holds onto it too long but I'd wager a good amount of the time he holds longer is cause no one is open - our skill guys have been horrible this year at getting separation.
couple poor separation with poor pass pro and it's a bad recipe.
Brock has the highest TTT stat.
I highly doubt that Brock is not throwing to the first two reads and they're open. If that's true, it's cause he is pass rushed.
that said, if the 3-4th open is getting open and he doesn't have pass pro, then guys aren't actually open. Play design and the way he's coached up to execute it comes into play.
once again, Brock isn't perfect - but if he guys are open and Brock isn't hitting them, I guarantee you there is more to it than Brock is just being gun shy.

It was great to see Brock out there with his safety blanket in CMC. He had some really nice throws to him in high pressure moments. Something we haven't really seen from our running's backs this year.
having CMC being able to catch a short pass and make it a first down or have a big play in the pass game is refreshing.

For sure, I had forgotten how comforting it is to to see Brock have a simple out, which CMC is so good at creating. And Brock also seemed to get better as the game went on. Definitely feel better going forward with CMC back to take some pressure off the kid

I'm sure there are plays he may of missed someone but once again, it doesn't really matter if the third or fourth option eventually got open but the o line got its ass beat and he couldn't go through his reads properly.
overall, it's hard to judge if he's missing open players when we don't know how he's supposed to execute the play. Brock is known to execute the plays as they're designed and he's directed to. It would be shocking if all a sudden he was out there being mindless and ineffective.

It seemed like he never really trusted Mason in the passing game or any one else, not like he does CMC. That or those guys just weren't doing what they were being expected to in pass pro or routes and he lost trust in them.
im still annoyed that kyle took CMC out in the redzone on the first two downs. As soon as i saw Gurendo in, I had a bad feeling. Dude totally whiffed a key chip block.
anyways, I agree. Things just felt more open and less pressure with CMC out there. Gotta love kittle too. Dudes awesome - all time great niner for sure.

He had no time to see that one. Get the guy better, more consistent pass blocking. That and better run defense inside should be the main goals for the offseason, however things may turn out.
my goodness, Brock 😳....some sort of miscommunication between Banks-Williams-Kittle leaves a man unblocked. Can a "film watcher" parse this? lol Couldn't help myself. pic.twitter.com/1mWwLF4x8q

You know what's wild to think about?
brock almost went to the dolphins a few picks before us. It was between him and Skylar Thompson- obviously they selected Thompson.
going to the dolphins would of been a great situation there with the talent, coaching and system - very similar to here. They would probably of kept starting him since he would have got playing time with the qb injuries they had and the dolphins were his childhood team.
I think he would have been highly successful there because it's as close a situation to here as there is. Little things In life can change so much. Crazy to think about

This crap has been going on all year. The whole offense has seem to lack focus and execution. Really all three units (O, d, ST). It's very strange - makes me wonder if all the holdouts this off season was a bigger distraction than I thought. Especially when coupled with the injuries and loss of key leaders like CMC/Greenlaw. Hopefully we continue to improve down the stretch here and get back to ourselves
