Very true. Purdy lacks what Shanahan called a killer instinct which is how elite QB's finish games.

Id be okay with 3 years 100M.

This is about what Derek Carr, Baker Mayfield, and Geno Smith get paid.

He also left plays on the field and has missed reads all the same. He wasn't super accurate either. It's not one thing, it's a collection of poor things by a lot of players/coaches.

I think Kyle passing concepts are an issue. A lot of people have stated that. From what I read his pressure rate this past game was actually less than previous games.

I like Brock, there are much much worse starting QBs in the NFL than him. He will and should get paid. He's not one of those elite level QBs like Allen/mahomes/burrow/jackson or imo Herbert.

I feel like he should be making closer to what baker mayfield is getting paid vs Burrow. Is what it is

Very true. I think Purdy making what Baker is getting would be fair.

I think 3 years at 75 million would be fair.
I think we should keep core elite players like Deebo. Purdy will need those types of players to stay competitive.

Somewhere between the 2 and I'd be ecstatic

Deebo is finished. It's time to move on.

Yea Deebo actually one of the dudes that gotta go if Brock want to be competitive. Seattle has 3 receivers better than him

this comes off as laughable when he was in the MVP convo a year ago. here's his stat line just if you project his current numbers:

4442 pass yds

You guys are either trolling or clueless. That would put Purdy among the lowest paid starting QB's in the league. $40M/year is the median for Stafford/Daniel Jones. We would be LUCKY to keep Purdy for $50M/year average. In 2-3 years that will be the median. It is what it is, QB's make a lot of money.

Odd you would say that. Shanahan and his teammates have said it is his killer instinct that drives him to make the throws that Jimmy would not.

When all you have is a possession receiver, a "wide back," a couple of rookies, and career backups, it is hard to display much of a killer instinct.

There was never a time this season that Purdy had a healthy Brandon Aiyuk, his deep threat last year, to be able to take shots.
He's clearly got Issues right now, but It's not like he's getting much help either.

It would be nice if Brock, who considers himself fortunate to have been drafted by a team that had so much talent, was willing to take a lower than market salary or some type of creative deferred deal like Ohtani got so they could keep some of the best players. Even at $25 million he would be making way more than he ever expected. $26 million for tyh elast man drafted would be amazing. Maybe they could put a kicker in the contract where if they win a SB a bonus would kick in. I'm just spit balling but I don't see how they can pay him $50 mil or more and expect to maintain a competitive team in the near future.

this is exactly the kind of pipe dreaming i am talking about. we praise his play, particularly during the MVP caliber year, and then it's oh won't you take a lowball deal forever? it's talking out both sides of your mouth imo. compliment his play and low ball his paycheck. that's not consistent. he already has been ripped off. Lance on the rook deal made $30m more than Brock. for no fault of Brock's. it's our fault we can't evaluate the position.
