lol s**t on the 24 year old 3rd year qb that went to two nfc championship games and a Super Bowl. Where are all the others to pick up that have done that?
lol my only problem is him leaving the pocket so quick this year. But could be because the line stinks.
Also to be clear I think teams have figured out what he likes to do.
Besides kittle the team does not have a real man beater. Jennings has been great though.
Deebo is garbage this year. Ricky been shot, Brandon was getting dimes and dropping them before the injury.
i think Brandon would have eventually turned it on but who knows with the injury.

The fullback is an overpaid waste of a roster spot. Our highly paid deebo is old, slow and no longer effective. Many issues but the qb is not one.

I think he ain't s**t and niners accepted it and fans went crazy for him . He kinda has that pretty boy religious guy that made him popular.
It used to be if you couldn't throw down field you sat on bench he looks like a backup and always will.
Again I am a north dakota niner fan
What drew me to niners was the explosive offense off Steve young Jerry Rice ricky wattee this team is an anemic offense that totally relies on the defense (bosa)
Trey Lance was garbage. f**kin waste of picks!!! Dude wasn't even worth a 3rd round pick. Thank god for Brock Purdy. If it weren't for Purdy the 49ers would've had a major setback. So thank god for Brock Purdy!!!

3rd in pts and 2nd in yards last year
2022 6 in points 5th in yards
this year 10th in points 2nd in yards.
What offense do you want?
Problem is redzone and special teams and as has been since shabby been here late 4th defense.

For those "I am not paying this guy $60M a season" dudes.....
....exactly how much would you be willing to pay him?

Let him play out his rookie deal then tag him. If a contract becomes necessary probably 40m-45m per year seems fair to both side.
You get up to 60mil per year then someone needs to be fired.

tag is pretty nonsensical. it's avg of the top earners at QB. and it's 100% charged to your cap. probably a much bigger cap hit than we would have with a long term deal.

there is a reason not a lot of nfl teams are even using their tag, let alone tagging their QB

Ravens did it smartly. Gave Lamar the non-exclusive tag and let him test the market. Made a lot of sense given his reported demands.

This last Seahawks game was sort of like last year's super bowl. Purdy just needed one more first down to end game but just could not do it. And you knew in both games the other team was going to come down and score. In both games, it would have been wise of Kyle to go for it on 4th down.

See Smokeys reply above. We tag him, end of story. Don't risk a 60mil per year payout to this QB at this time. Could end up the worst contract in 49er history.

these contracts aren't the biggest deal. you just don't go full deshaun watson with the guaranteed money
if anything having a down year or not as good as last year, ok, we save money

We don't necessarily have to tag him. If we were to get to that point we'd have the rest of this season and next to make a judgement. Maybe the answer becomes clearer by then. It may be moot if he finishes strong this year. We don't have to make any decision right now.

Dak's contract isn't a good one. That's the entire point. Ask those posters what they would be willing to pay Dak, lol.
