so of course Purdy is going to get more. He's better than those quarterbacks and he is also the more recent signing (the rate goes up after almost every significant signing). I don't know why people ask if he's worth x amount of dollars. It's the Market and he's good.

Pretty simple, isn't it? Lol

Lawrence, in particular, dude. Never in a million years would I have given that deal to him. He simply just was not that good. Of course, we are gunna pay Purdy, as you said, it is the market and he actually is good. I would give Lawence that deal if it was with L'Oréal..not as a qb lolol

Lawrence was never a generational QB. But it would be interesting even at his salary if he was on the market this off season. He has all the physical gifts Purdy will never have. I would like to think would be at his best under Shanahan & he did had a 30 total TD year a few years ago.

Lawrence will never have the one thing that makes a QB actually good and that's the ability to process the game.

My bad you said 30 total TD's. Brock has thrown for 30 TD's in his first full year of starting.

Throwing to multiple Pro Bowl players.

Lance just never had the reps to know what he would be at QB and seems like he is just never going to get that chance. Lawrence during the 30 TD season did make a Pro Bowl. So at lest we know he is capable of high play. Jacksonville is pretty dysfunctional and its easy to mess up QBs.

They're anticipating Purdy's return for the Buffalo game but I wonder how much difference it will make. There's snow in the forecast for 3 days prior to the game and temps below 30. Not great condtions for a QB coming off an injury that was raised in Arizona.

Lol 10 yrs from now, ppl will still be saying, if only Lance had more reps
It's unfortunate for Purdy that he's not having as good a year this season as he heads into a contract discussion. It certainly will be an issue during talks.

Just looked at PFF and based on pass block win rate Puni is slightly above median while Brendell, Mckivits and Banks all rank in the bottom third of the NFL. The folks we shipped out of town so Mckivitz could start (Skul and Mcglinchy ) are both slightly above the median.
Before anyone talks about Brocks performance they need to look at Chris Foresters bunch.

Even though Brock isn't close to a guy like Josh Allen and as such I don't feel he should be paid like that, I do think he's gotten a s**t deal from our OL.

Josh Allen doesn't have some incredible line either nor does he have anywhere near the playmakers purdy has had but he's a physical freak....the great equalizer

Allen has weapons and a better line. Cook really good. Shakir would possibly be our most targeted receiver over Jauan if he were here. He's got good TE. They got him Cooper and Coleman

Joe Montana wasn't close to Josh Allen as a physical freak. He'd be worth more though because he was a better QB. Same goes for Tom Brady

Processing the game says more about the QB than the players around him. And lets not act like Lawrence has scrubs for receivers. Dude has had, Calvin Ridley, Christian Kirk, Brian Thomas Jr.. But getting back to Brock, he makes plays all over the field and throws with anticipation. It's like you're on the outside looking in and look no better than the media when you bring up the players around Purdy.

Our receivers are so damn overrated. Ridley is probably better than Aiyuk

Might be interesting just to take a look. He's more of a prototypical quarterback in terms of arm strength and height.

would be funny if he came in and lit it up and now you have a QB controversy to boot…

I think Calvin Ridley is on par with Brandon Aiyuk, both are pretty damn good route runners only I think Aiyuk is the better run blocker. Switch out Aiyuk for Ridley and I don't think this tea misses a beat.
