50? that's top money

Lol right....prove it deal is 3 for 90 and that's market fair

You guys really need to look up what the other QB's are making. You sound ridiculous.

Have you looked at how much other QB's are making?

30 million puts him in Baker Mayfield category...40 in Josh Allen. Is he really better than Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield right now?

Baker is at $33m and Allen is at $43m. Allen signed his deal three years ago. Meaning, in three years, whatever Purdy signs for will be cheap compared to whoever is signing at that time. So that deal proves my point about signing Purdy long term.

Next QB below Baker is Geno Smith at $25m. Each of them got their contracts after only one good season preceded by very mediocre QB play. They have "prove it" deals. If you want a QB on a prove it deal for $30m per for 3 seasons, that's going to be someone like Sam Darnold.

Purdy on the other hand has been great since his first snap and has done it for multiple seasons. Asking him to sign a prove it deal when he's already taken the team to two NFCCG's and a Super Bowl while getting paid under $1M/year is a joke.

He also lost that Superbowl. He also got his opportunity here after being an afterthought in the draft by the entire NFL. He's got an average arm that turns into a pea shooter whenever he's injured and lately that's been quite often and he's already gone through one major surgery to his throwing arm. He's also pretty average this year statistically and record wise and has shown that he doesn't overcome and excel when he isn't literally surrounded by all pro's on offense. He doesn't have the best leverage going into this offseason unless he completely turns his game around. He's not going to make more than 35-40 a year and it'll probably be a short term deal so he can prove he can stay on the field long term.

His arm is awful all our passes are checkdowns it's just ugly

Actually his intended air yards per attempt is #1 in the NFL this season. Last year he was 7th. You're drunk.

Notice a pattern here by chance?

Jimmy G... injured quite often.

Trey Lance... Broken ankle in his second start 2 years ago and injured as well in his rookie year (finger I think)

Brock Purdy... injured quite often (according to you)

Almost seems like the 49ers have a problem finding a way to prioritize protecting whoever is back there and whatever we're paying them.

Teams win and lose Super Bowls not individual players. Brady was pretty average his last year in New England without much around him. Mahomes has put up the worst numbers of his career the last 2 years without a lot around him. Who knows what he will get paid but on the list of problems on the team, he's pretty far down that list.

Whose alt account is this?
Hey man I am hot take on purdy I predicted end of last year he Wil be wearing out his welcome before we sign him longterm .

And yea I think he has a noodle arm
I don't think Purdy has played great or even really good this year. His stats are okay and he's had some good stat-wise games but Purdy has not seen the field as well as last year. He's missed in key moments and can't find the end zone. I'm not sure where that puts the team but clearly Purdy hasn't improved this year and regressed. He's not elite and likely in the top 5 to 10 QBs. Is that good enough? I guess…but he needs players around him. They need to toss Deebo and CMC needs to rest. Also need oline help

Can you name a QB that is successful without good players around him?

My line about that is Purdy regressed but still needs help. Deebo and oline need to be addressed.
Purdy is a fluke he threw alot of short s**t and passes that went to ultra game receivers and made his noodle arm and missing downfield accuracy not matter.

I am montana young and garcia guy

We haven't had s**t since for qb

We have had our best defenses tho last 10 years
Didn't Garcia have a noodle arm too with less accuracy than BP? BP has the best air yards average last year.

Actually, after playing poorly in the first half, he still droved the team down and took the lead in overtime. I remember the defense letting mahomes drive effortlessly down field to when the superbowl.

Same problems. WR's can't get open. 6 catches by our WR's, 5 of those are Jennings.

Clean house.

Bock was holding on to the ball too long. There were players open Brock was just hesitating. It's not the WR's fault the OL couldn't hold for more than 6 seconds

Just watching this game it would be nice if Brock has the arm to throw outside more. The receivers tend to drop balls in the middle.
