Already in a young 3 year career.

you guys want to pay this guy 60 million per on likely a 5 year contract.

not sure it's the right move

but if Brock forces our hand which he likely will, then there better be loop holes where we have an easy out in year 2 or 3.

other guys that have signed recently with monster contracts did not have that kind of injury history. Burrow sustained his after he signed the contract.

Nearly every QB gets injured nearly ever year. Burrow, whom you mentioned, had 2 season ending injuries. Do you not pay him? Dak gets hurt all the time. Herbert gets hurt all the time. Tua gets hurt all the time.

Rodgers. Cousins just had a season ending injury in 2023. Darnold got injured in Carolina. DeShaun Watson is out for the season. Trevor Lawrence is injured. C.J. Stroud already missed a game last year.

That's modern football.

You pay the QB because it's the only position that really matters. The others, aside from kicker, are all interchangeable and you never pay them.

Also, every Kyle QB gets injured. Mullens had the same elbow injury as Brock. Trey couldn't play 2 games without getting injured. Jimmy got injured all the time. Kyle ran out of QBs with Josh Johnson getting injured.

Yea but this is 2 injuries on his throwing arm in just about 2 years. And this is a quarterback that isn't necessarily known for a canon for an arm to begin with. He's gonna end up throwing Ken Dorsey / Shaun Hill level ducks at this rate

Steve Young had the weakest arm of any starting QB in football and had a bad shoulder injury in 1995. Didn't derail him.

Dorsey and Hill's problems weren't arm strength. No QB's struggles are because of arm strength. When you can read coverages and throw with timing and accuracy, you will succeed, unless the scheme is horrible.

i don't think trashing on some legend like steve is helping you out here

I'm not trashing on him. Arm strength is irrelevant is the point. JaMarcus Russell had a huge arm.

Steve Young had game altering mobility and was a more accurate passer than Purdy. I agree his arm strength wasn't anything special, though I think saying he had the weakest arm in the league is hyperbole.

He wasn't more accurate than 2023 Purdy. This year's Purdy, yes, but I think this year's Purdy is struggling because of injuries that he's been hiding since the Vikings game.

Purdy also has game altering mobility.

Yes he was. 2023 Purdy spent 3/4 of the season throwing to wide open receivers. Never seen so many open crossers in the intermediate range.

Purdy doesn't have game altering mobility, lol. He's mobile enough to extend plays which is a real positive but he's not in the same universe as a player like Young.

Young was better than Brock at anything you can ask a QB to do, and he still suffered from poor decision making at times.

Lol that isn't Tank, he goes bye bye when we lose and that isn't his writing style lol.

@Footballexpert..your post is a little long for me to want to quote it lol. Some things I agree with and some I don't. So fire Kyle is the way? Which offensive mind would you replace him with specifically? I am not fiercely defending him but at the same time, why fire? I am as frustrated as anyone else with him..well, idk lol there are some ppl whose daily lives seem to be- odd- with how much they b***h about him lol. But firing Kyle...for who? And Brenda absolutely sucks and needs to go, despite scheme.

I agree, pay Brock what he wants and enough of this noodle arm bs lol.

You have no clue what you're talking about. Purdy has 267 rushing yards so far this season, averaging 26.7 rushing yards per game. From 1993-1999, Young only averaged more rushing yards per game than Purdy this year in 1998.

No, he was not throwing to wide open receivers. Where did you get that nonsense, Nick Wright? Purdy was threading needle after needle. You must have him confused with Stat Paddy Mahomo or something, who does nothing but check down to guys open by 5 yard radius in Andy Reid's system.

No, throwing dig routes over the linebacker and under the safety is not "wide open." Those were tight window throws.
here we go again

Kyle is a net negative with his stubbornness. You either accept that he's going to get your QB hit by free blitzers because of his insistence that the QB "go hot," even though he does a horrible job of building in hot reads, as Kurt Warner has demonstrated, or you recognize that Brock can be a franchise QB if he returns to 100% physically, which means you don't need some genius calling the plays...just a coach who doesn't overthink things.

Ben Johnson would be nice. But really, there are many guys in the Shanahan tree who would use a lot of the actual good stuff that Kyle does, but fix the things he's stubborn about that get QBs crushed.

Calling "homo" is a good way to get yourself banned again lol

This. Quarterbacks will keep getting hurt in this offense until he makes adjustments. How many years in his tenure has he not gotten the quarterback injured?

Yeah, I dnt think it's that bad lol. 49ers fans are just a bunch of spoiled kids that want their way cause we are used to getting it lol. I haven't heard of threats to anyone in the sports world really..except maybe Mike Vick, perhaps that guy who punched his girl in the elevator, ..but I mostly dnt pay much attention to sports news outside of playing the game. In other words, I dnt watch TMZ or go on Twitter much at all lol. Or even ESPN. We aren't the Eagles fan base, that I do know

I don't care what their rushing yard averages are/were, though I think it's funny and telling you for some reason omitted 92, an MVP season for Young where he beat Purdy's average. You'd have to be blind as a bat to not see Young was a vastly superior runner in comparison to Brock.

Then again, you think Brock is the best QB in the NFL *by a landslide* when healthy which is absurd on its face.
