darnold is gone. he may hit FA but it doesn't matter, we are paying brock regardless.

To me purdy is the worst starter in the league he plays like a backup checking down most of the throws and never hits those 30 yard on a rope window throws that qbs hit.

It's not that I hate purdy I think he is a good guy and could be a serviceable backup just no nfl starter calibre

Agreed, and no excuse having a QB like Purdy & putting O-lineman like Brendel & McKivitz (especially these two) in front of Purdy trying to protect him.

i'm talking about the org, which is lynch and shanny. they can't move off brock without going headlong into the unknown. they dont want to do that. QB is gonna cost picks or dollars if it's brock or anyone else. lynch and shanny are both big on brock.

but you posted that they are scared like it's a mistake.. is it a mistake to keep Purdy ?

He did okay. Purdy led the team to the SB and nearly won it, so it's hard to argue he should have been the backup to Darnold.

the mistake was lance. the point i was making, is they knew they needed to move off Jimmy. notice what they did. they burned 3 picks. cuz they knew QB was a huge hole to fill and they threw picks at the problem to solve it. that's telling. they were desperate. that's how they got roped into lance. they won't put themselves in that situation again, of having to find a QB1. they found their man, brock.

AGAIN FOR ALL THE PEOPLE IN THE BACK --- like I've said many times on here DO NOT PAY PURDY 60+ MILLION PER YEAR.

Let him play out his rookie deal then yes tag his ass. He doesn't like it sit him.

With Kittle, Jennings, Deebo and Pearsall, there's no way Brock can have under 100 yards passing.

Im sorry, your can't pay a QB 60M who cannot play inclement weather. He couldn't throw the ball in the rain vs GB last season and nearly cost them that playoff game.
