He'd need to bring Jefferson over too. Vikings would be sb favorites if they had Brock
It comes down to this, IMO. Do you:

1. Replace Brock, keep the OL
2. Replace the OL, keep Brock
3. Replace both.

Nobody is saying 1, but based on his 2022-2023 performance I go with 2 before I go with 3.

Let him play out his rookie deal then yes tag his ass. He doesn't like it sit him.

For all the people who were so against this...did this game change your mind???? Ok maybe it will be next week's game that will finally change it. See ya then...

Not extending Brock and keeping him for 2025 is a non-starter. You do that and you make him a lame duck QB. You either cut him this offseason or extend him. Anything else is simply fence sitting and delaying the divorce.

Darnold can't even find JJ right now

With Kittle, Jennings, Deebo and Pearsall, there's no way Brock can have under 100 yards passing.

Im sorry, your can't pay a QB 60M who cannot play inclement weather. He couldn't throw the ball in the rain vs GB last season and nearly cost them that playoff game.

yeah he's got a pretty poor grip and doesn't really throw downfield or outs that well. he's kind of a limited guy. he is very natural at QB and moves well and plays with anticipation. we do seem going back to the Jimmy problem which is paying big dollar for a mid QB. at least we don't have to search for QB1. we do need probably QB2.

Or holding onto your assets because it's a business and he makes no money next year?
The best teams in the NFL right now have elite offensive lines. The 49ers have chosen to do the opposite and invest in skill positions. It has failed miserably.
People criticizing Purdy tonight should realize the OL consisted of backups as LT and LG, one of the lowest rated Centers in the league, a RT that is also in the lower half of the league, no CMC, no BA, and a very inexperienced rookie WR who was picked for his precise route running which was impossible tonight. He did have Kittle but he was blocking much of the time. Deebo and JJ were the only options but the Bills were consistently taking them away. No wonder Purdy appeared a bit hesitant at times. He had almost nothing to work with.

Come on, people. Look at what he had on the field around him. What did you expect?

2 (definitely replace Brendel & McKivitz…maybe don't re-sign Banks, too).

Fixing the OL should be the main priority Imo and see how Brock does next season before handing out a big contract.
Purdy still fumbled and looked genuinely unable to hit more than a 5 yard pass.

i'll put it this way, they spent 3 ones on lance to move off jimmy. they are scared of being without a QB.
scared?

So you want a different QB ?

i'm talking about the org, which is lynch and shanny. they can't move off brock without going headlong into the unknown. they dont want to do that. QB is gonna cost picks or dollars if it's brock or anyone else. lynch and shanny are both big on brock.
but you posted that they are scared like it's a mistake.. is it a mistake to keep Purdy ?

the mistake was lance. the point i was making, is they knew they needed to move off Jimmy. notice what they did. they burned 3 picks. cuz they knew QB was a huge hole to fill and they threw picks at the problem to solve it. that's telling. they were desperate. that's how they got roped into lance. they won't put themselves in that situation again, of having to find a QB1. they found their man, brock.
so what's the scared statement fall into this if they found their man ?

To elevate those around him to be better like a real Franchise QB does.

Still should have scored at least 20 points if it weren't for juice and Moody. Was it amazing? No, but really not that bad for the s**t show he has around him
