QB Brock Purdy Thread

y'all are tripping on the Brock hate....

this season did not shake out....and there is a bunch of places I would point before I point at Brock.

yeah Brock is not superman, but he is a dude you can get high end results from if you build around him. Not that different than Brees or Joe....hell Purdy looks kinda similar to 2006 Brady without the defense and the 100 plus starts to lean back on.

This team still has some talent on the roster, they just have to cut out the fat, rebuild the line.... and recenter the offense on the QB

I believe jimmy was better at least he made us dangerous over the top and he was quick on his release

yeah lynch and kyle panicked into lance. that's what happened. they had no plan and were desperate and they eval'd that guy to be something like mahomes or josh allen. it will go down as maybe the worst draft bust of all time. the fact it was in the middle of a SB window makes it 10x worse. so yeah, i don't think the brain trust behind that doozy wants to move off brock.

panicked, no. Panicked would have drafted us McKorkle.

In the end it didn't matter what QB they picked. All the 2021 QBs are busts, aside from Lawrence, who is mediocre at best. It simply turned out it was a bad year to try and find a new starting QB in the draft.

Purdy - his resume is better than the rest.

mahomes is clearly the best QB, but he doesn't play with the so called avengers. goff doesn't get into any mvp convo, but for having a team around him. so resume, of wins and awards, is impacted by your guys around you.

his game is what i look at. brock rates highly in some areas like his short area quickness, his anticipation, his leadership, his toughness. he doesn't throw a great ball. he doesn't shoot the out routes or downfield very effectively. he can be accurate, but not really strong at all the throws. it gets predictable, with teams learning our route trees and jumping our intermediate middle of the field stuff. daring brock to go elsewhere. it's probably drifting back into paying a mid level qb the big bucks.

ehh well i mean Kyle does get the most out of every QB that plays for him... is this all Brock can provide.. time will tell

guys are out, the line has issues, his shoulder is broken...in this game wind was crap...

There are challenges

but

We have watched great QBs not overcome short term challenges...brock is not the first QB that has faltered under duress.
