Come on, guys. He had ONE ball slip out of his hands. ONE. Yes, it was unfortunate but that does not equal a big problem.

IIRC, he did try gloves a few times at Iowa State but did not like the way they limited his feel for the ball.

It's not just once. It happened against the Rams when he tried to throw the ball and it just came out of his hands before his arm came forward.

Call him, Brock "Small Hands" Purdy.

His hand size is exactly the same as Pat Mahomes.

Burrow has even smaller hands.

OOOOOPS!

That's measuring hand span. What about hand length? Not all men are created equal :)
...and there is also whether or not their fingernails are well trimmed or left to grow long.

Lots of things to consider on a cool day in December.

that kept happening vs GB. he was dirting the ball and it had no rotation. that's a slip out of the old hands.

OK, that is two out of 938 passes in his NFL career so far. There may be more but I think you get my point - don't overreact.

what about girth ?
flashback, he definitely has had some issues in conditions

Lots are going to have issues in snowy conditions like that. I know, "but Josh Allen".

Those saying he is just like Jimmy, dude, this guy processes so much better than G could ever dream about. I have waited a long time for this qb! We will get our s**t together but the season is definitely a scratch!! Bloody heck this season is something else. Interesting to see the people glowing about Purdy seem have taken a step back. That's football though for ya. This season can go straight to the can!

I figured this was common knowledge by now that Purdy isn't that good in any type of wet games. Hell today the biggest Purdy fan Larry Kruger fianlly admitted Purdy has issues in wet weather games.
my theory is that Brock has unusually sweaty hands.

But now? No...to me, either a QB has got the potential to be a franchise qb or he does not. That should be determined within the first 2-3 years, not after 5-10. in despite of the first two years I don't see a franchise qb in him (anymore) , he doesn't have the mindset for that.

This just sounds like a lot "he's supposed to be tearing things up even though the roster around him is falling apart."

That should be determined within the first 2-3 years

Also your numbers are completely arbitrary, based on that, neither Steve Young nor Drew Brees were franchise QB's.
He shouldn't making mistakes on a consistent basis. That is not too much to ask from a franchise QB.

Exceptions to the rule.

WHAT?

His mental focus is his strongest point. Everyone on the team comments about his focus and mental toughness. His biggest problem is the five guys that squat in front of him on every play...along with injuries on the receiving core.

Isn't that what all the naysayers said last year? If he didn't have the "Avengers" that he wouldn't be that good. We all got mad at Steven Ruiz (The Ringer) talking about its talent and scheme and not Purdy. And now its oh all the talent isn't there that is why he is struggling. I want my franchise QB to win no matter who is out there. That is why he gets the big bucks right?? IMO a franchise QB should be winning 10-11 games each year just based on his skill alone.
So, Stafford is not a franchise QB anymore?

So Joe Burrow is not a franchise QB?

Joe Burrow has 30 TDs and 5 INTs with a 107 QB rating and will probably finish with his best numbers of his career. Cincy currently has the #9 offense and #27 defense. Burrow just lost a game 38-44 where he had 112 QB rating and 3 TDs. There are always weird seasons. Prior to this year in 16 games seasons he went 10-6 and 12-4

And his team is 4-8. In 23 they were 9-8 and browning had a better win %
browning?

#10 puts him at $45M/yr. Kirk Cousins/Deshaun Watson/Kyler Murray money.

However, based on his resume, the market will drive him over the $50M level.

Deshaun was a mistake.

Another "show me" year on a tag seems to be the best option for both sides.

Saying "MIGHT" like that is ridiculous. He was in the MVP conversation last season. Most teams don't have QBs that have ever been in that conversation.

Titans, Raiders, Giants, Jets, Seahawks and others would all happily pay him.

Some links as references would be nice.
