QB Brock Purdy Thread

Brock destroys zone. He cannot destroy man with the current cast around him.

I have zero issues paying Brock. I have issues protecting that investment lol

What happened on the near TD pass to Isaac Guerendo? Brock came to the line of scrimmage, recognized that the Bears shifted into man coverage, changed the play at the line, and then through a dime to Isaac streaking past the defender playing in man coverage. Every QB has a bread and butter play and there is no doubt that Brock is elite at reading zone coverages, but that does not mean he's "bad" against man coverage either.

I don't see them keepng Deebo long term. Hemay be ther enext year but beyond tha tit's unlikely. He's not been very productive this season. Who knows how good Aiyuk will be after that injury.

Pretty sure he's saying Brock needs a better set of WR's and he'd be better vs man coverage. If he had Aiyuk's route running then I bet Brock would look much better statistically wise.

You're more right than anything, because you cannot keep Deebo around with his production being so low like you stated and his price going up. But with that said, 2025 is pretty much the last year of his contract. The remaining years are voidable.

This. When its man, teams also blitz us more. Its a combination of the WR not beating man, then the o line not being very good to provide Purdy that extra second or two to compensate. Purdy is the not the issue. I mean if he had a rifle it could bail him out more, but thats just more compensation for bad protection imo.

I think Cowing has potential as we have seen him smoke some defenders. We need that deep threat.

I believe a dominant o line would pretty much guarantee this team has a chance to win every game as is, never mind getting guys back healthy and hopefully generally improving the roster this offsesaon etc.

I like him. He saved the team from the Lance pick and is better than Jimmy G. He has a tough time adjusting on the fly when one of Deebo, Kittle, McCaffrey and to an extent Aiyuk get hurt and leave the game. One would think that with three of the remaining four weapons he wouldn't miss a beat.

I don't know about giving him the bag.

Definitely agree about Tua and Carr.

Cousins is older now but carried his teams.

I think those are more than fair comparisons. Would expect him to get a better deal than those on his own merits plus contract inflation on top of that.

Stupid tweet. How many of these players are All-Pro's this season. If Deebo is part of the 59% of passes, then this tweet doesn't mean anything. Deebo was once an All-Pro but far from that this season.
