Yeah, this is a deceiving tweet. The only reliable weapon he's had in the pass game has been Jennings and Kittle and both have been injured all over.

take away Trent and this o line is absolutely a bottom 5 o line. Literally the worst center and very average (on their best days) at the other spots.

take away bosa and our d line is crap.

take away Ward and the other corners. Very crappy.

Take away all of that at once, including top players like Greenlaw, huf, broken Warner etc - you get what we have. A super disappointing and mediocre season. Unless we get healthy and squeak into the playoffs on a run here, this season has been a disaster. Havent played hard at all most of the season and horrible when the defense is needed most.

dont even get me started on special teams. lol f**kin sickening performance by them.

im good with paying Brock. He's far from an issue on this team. Hell without him, we would maybe have 1-2 wins this season.

I have zero issues paying Brock. I have issues protecting that investment lol

Exactly!!!!

I think once Aiyuk is healthy, Pearsall and Aiyuk will tear it up!!! I love a WR room of Deebo, Aiyuk, Jennings and Pearsall. That right there is Super Bowl caliber. Please go and get the best Center you can stop fking around already!!!
I think we should get 2-OT & a Center. Have to replace TW on the left side pretty soon and McG on the right on D we need a big D-line anchor and a good pass rusher to help Bosa. After that JMHO

Disingenuous reply. Deebo had last year an 1,111 yard 12 TD running/receiving season. Acting like its been forever since he has last been good is just nonsense.
I can't help but think that the "Purdy will get extended" story leaked yesterday because the FO figured out what salary cap deadweight they're getting rid of this offseason. Because my goodness there's a lot of it.

We've mainly been unfortunate with injuries but the one move that I think they'll regret is the salary moves that they made with Deebo in the off season. I think we are going to have a lot of dead cap from it, regardless.

This is tough!

I like him. He saved the team from the Lance pick and is better than Jimmy G. He has a tough time adjusting on the fly when one of Deebo, Kittle, McCaffrey and to an extent Aiyuk get hurt and leave the game. One would think that with three of the remaining four weapons he wouldn't miss a beat.

I don't know about giving him the bag.

Brock is a lot more clutch than Cousins, Tua and Derek Carr and all those fools got paid!!! Brock Purdy will get his bag and get paid!!!!

Definitely agree about Tua and Carr.

Cousins is older now but carried his teams.

Is Cousins really carrying his team though, there's talks about benching Cousins, but Rahem Morris insist that Cousins is his QB.

Overreaction.

Puni is a top-five guard in the league. Jayon Moore has been more than adequate in replacing Trent (see a new post in his thread). McKivitz gets no love on here but has been having a quiet year (a good thing for an OL). He is ranked in the top 34 out of 80 OTs.

personally, MCK to me was a project OL who got thrown into the fire too soon.. the guy is doing a good job, not GREAT, but good.. he continues to learn and he will be a solid 10 to 13 year RT if he can stay healthy..

Sam Darnold is throwing to two of THE best WRs in the league? You throw to who you got! In many ways you could say Brock turned BA and JJ into the players they have become. Deebo was better under Jimmy but that's a Deebo problem imho. If you think Brock hasn't elevated the players around him you aren't watching the games.
I'm not cnvinced that his shoulder is 100%. It seems like his passes have alittle less velocity than thye did before he hurt it. Yesterday he was hitting guys that were wide open so he didn't need to really fire it into a tight window very often.
I also think that once Purdy and Ricky get a whole off-season and pre season to sync up its gonna be a whole different ball game. I have loved Deebo but think his best work is behind him, I am very exited to see Ricky and Jacob getting his reps next season when we move on from Deebo. One thing we are missing this year is speed and I think that's why teams have been able to focus on stopping the run so effectively, Guerrendo brings it and its noticeable.

How's he looked this year?

MAYBE- but most likely won't come out till postseason. It's a secret.
And I will say, I don't know why I was getting a little shaky on Brock the past few weeks. He was awesome yesterday, just like many games before. He just feels like 9er family now for the long term. I hope he continues to grow and is with us for the next decade plus.

If we can just skate around the top cap number somehow. But Brock is the guy. Time to start clearing out some age and deadweight and pick up again.
