You can offer. 0 chance Brock signs

Read the full post. He's already signed for next season. The goal is to buy another year to look without breaking the bank… especially before we can see him test the market.

He's not playing on a final year. Moot point.

Why can't he?

Because no good players do. He will hold out and we will fold.

Well that's on the GM for setting that precedent with the clown Aiyuk,

he's under contract. Play.

Nice try but we will fold.
I am a huge Purdy supporter but today was one of the first times I've thought he was a major part of why we lost. I didn't understand many of these throws. He missed Ricky on a TD also. Deebo didn't do him any favors, of course.

Only thing Purdy proved tonight is why he was picked last.

Not offering an extension this offseason is screaming at Brock "We are 100% going to replace you ASAP". Better to just pull the bandaid off this offseason than do that. You draft/sign a guy and trade/cut Purdy, or you extend him with a significant pay raise. There's no real in-between. To do otherwise is just p***yfooting around.

Ummmm… you posted with conviction but you did it mention any real consequence beyond us being perceived as "screaming"

The consequence is wasting a year on a QB you've already decided isn't good enough. Why waste that year? Just go get another guy and move on.

Because sitting a year and learning has proven a benefit 👍🏻

Wait you think he would?
Tommy John surgery is a big deal for an athlete who relies on arm strength. His arm was never strong to begin with. I would draft a QB and rebuild.

It would just be a matter of when.

Let Kyle draft another QB?

Think he has a choice?

I agree with you. Because the GM has allowed the players to rule the roost.

Right. After the seasons over cause we started Brandon Allen.

Yea I don't know what he thinks the endgame would be in that scenario.

Brock holds outs for the max time period and then plays 6-7 games and gets a top tier contract in FA? Lol… that s**t isn't happening.
