even with the check down, if he didnt get the 1st, it'll likely be 3rd and short with a shot to continue the drive for a td or fg.

Without question. I'm okay with having a QB that had a gunslinger mindset, they gotta have a gun though…Brock doesn't have that (and that's okay) instead he's gotta be quick, decisive, accurate and smart. His margin of error is not like all the elite level QBs in the league. He's gotta know what works for him.

I would have liked him to use his legs more in a game like this as well. Didn't do much of that for whatever reason.

He's trying to do too much. In college he got himself in trouble trying to play hero ball the same way. He had open receivers throughout the night that he passed over because he was locked on to someone else and was throwing into coverage too often.

and we all thought Brock was an elite processor...dude take what the defense gives you. Everyone's a game manager now, even Mahomes, and Allen (with his legs).
Playing himself into a lower and lower contract extension each week

this guy is a true team player!

This is a lot of teams right now. Maybe not so young but you can see it in all the teams that are punching their way into the playoffs including the got dam SeaClucks.

LA's pass blocking has been awful this yr. Before this game they were ranked 27th in league. They got a great going corp of players on the DL though.

The most important position/person in sports. The QB. You know the guy that's suppose to make a quarter of a billion dollars? s**t starts there imo.

What, you think Brock is gonna be gracious and take a Derrick Carr deal lol? His agent will NOT let that be a thing…I'm being logical and looking at the environment of the QB position and how they get paid.

We all want Brock to be great…some in here have already tried to make that a thing and when he does play poorly, they deflect and toss out other reasons outside of QB play. He's taken a step back this yr, he can't play in inclement weather. He's missing reads, forcing passes, his mechanics are bad, which leads to poorly thrown balls. He doesn't have the arm talent to make those type of big time throws in a muddy pocket. Is what it is.

This roster is old and needs a fact lift, which will cost money. Brock HAS to be better for this team to be successful and it's gonna be with a lesser overall teams because of HIS contract.

He's gotta win these grimy games thought out season. Poor effort for everyone on offense top to bottom.

Of course, he is not going to take a deal that is less than what the market is and what he is worth, I was just saying that Brock never actually said he wants to be paid as much as Allen. Offense as a whole, could have done better, I agree.

He's got a gunslingers mindset with a BB gun. Like you said he did the same s**t in college. He's gotta be better there

I mean Tua got paid more per yr than Allen. You think he should be making as much as Tua?

If they make him the highest paid QB in league history it will rank among the worst mistakes this team has ever made. He would be making over 20% of the team cap. That's not a good model for success. If he doesn't imrove over the next few years they'll be looking for another QB. I don't expect him to improve alot. I think what we see is what he is. A QB that can have somee really good games and also a few really bad games, especially when the weather is bad. He's definitely better when he has his full cast (most QBs are) but he hasn't shown that he can overcome a lot of adversity. His deep passes are consistently underthrown or hang in the air too long. It looks like his velocity has dropped off a bit so I'm not convinced hus shouder is completely right.

This. More excuses from Wbzers. A 60 million dollar QB over comes team injuries and limited talent.

That's literally nobody in the league right now

They can't make him the highest paid QB, it's also gonna come down to that real $$.

He should have a s**t ton of incentives and there's gotta be some sort of easy out in the deal.

if he wants to be the highest paid QB in football (which I doubt), then let him play out his rookie deal and tag him.

Felt like he was going for the killshot way too much instead of just taking what the defense was giving him, being way too wedded to his presnap reads.

Playing like Brett Favre but with a pea shooter instead of the Canon Favre had

Last year he left a few too many big opportunities on the table. This year he has overcorrected and been too aggressive. Gotta find that happy medium. That's what experience will bring.

Yeah, I have said this before, he is trying to do too much and trying to overcompensate for all of the things that go wrong or have gone wrong with the team. But yeah, just take what is there, he knows how to do that.
