$50M-$60M is absolutely a hometown discount. And agreed a Baker type deal is disrespectful. Hopefully this is true that the Niners see it this way.
Seeing as how he has all of the leverage and could absolutely squeeze max money out of the Niners, yes. Anything under $60M average per year is a discount. If it's in the low to mid $50M's then Purdy is in Brady territory as far as signing for a discount.
I don't see him with all the leverage...this team could easily let him sit out next year and get a K.Cousins, S.Darnold to replace him. It would be nice to see him here long term but not at the cost of the team and salary cap.
