Kyle let's Purdy walk via free agency and then trades for his beloved Kirk Cousins? Would anyone see something like this being an option and if so what would Cousin's contract look like for our Cap minus the bonus?
that and a time machine and we would be all set up to win as many as 10 games
I hear you, and I'm not advocating for it.
I just know there's a love affair there and it would be cheaper.
Cousins may be available after all.

Agreed Jimmy or Cousins talk should be 0 tolerance. I know it makes for good discussion but I don't see the 49ers letting Brock set out or even consider sitting out, he will get paid maybe not what he ask for in the beginning but he will get paid.
When Kyle turned down Brady to be his QB to stick with Jimmy told me about all i needed to know.

Best way to improve Purdy's play is to upgrade at Center.
Again Brock is currently the 11th least pressured QB in the NFL. He's also near bottom of the league in pressures based off QBs who's played most of the season.
Brendel sucks, we all get it. This idea that the OL is the main reason for Brock inconsistent play is not true. It's not like Brock didn't have Brendel last yr all the same.

Not be a stubborn about it and trust the likes of Colton McKivitz and Jake Brendel..
Colton hasn't been amazing (he's given up some pressures) but he hasn't played as bad as some of you all think
#49ere Colton McKivitz has only given up 1 sack this season 👏 pic.twitter.com/onl5SRumOB

what do folks think will happen when Brock gets paid $250M? You think the talent gets better around him or will he have to play better with less around him? There's only so much cash.

Yall might like Kyle's offense.. but there is a chance there might be someone out there running his system that might be a better Head Coach than him. Be a better gameday caller than him. Have the team more prepared than him. Protect our players and not run them into the ground. Use our backups to keep our star players fresh for most of the season and more importantly, in the playoffs.
Kyle Shanahan is not the end all be all when it comes to Head Coaches.. there are coaches out there right now doing more with less talent.. there some coaches have lost their starting QB for most of the season, and have similar records to us...
he is not going to be our Head Coach forever. I hope yall understand that.
Da f**k has Ben Johnson done? You ever watch his offense and how it's run? It's f**king no different than Kyle's, same principles.
acting like Kyle stinks all of a sudden coming off having the best offense in football last yr and scoring almost 29pts per game.
what a bad take

Cousins at this point in his career is a lot worse than Jimmy G. I mean he was just benched for a rookie after a 5-game stretch where he threw 1 td vs 9 ints and took 11 sacks. He's completely immobile too. He's cooked.

I'm not a Kirk supporter, but I think the injury and play calling affected him this yr.
prior to his injury dude was on pace for 4,700 40/10 and was completing almost 70% of his passes in 2023.
That ATL team signed a QB who's bread and butter has been play-action passing under center for years and decided to not run it at all. Only 8.2% of his passes are off PA. Just for comparison Sam in Minn uses PA the 4th most in the league (Goff #1) at like 27%.
whatever with Jimmy, dude is a Andy dalton like backup in the league. Maybe Kirk is going that route, but anyone watching those ATL games has to be confused with the play-calling.

I've seen you post this in several threads now. For some reason, no one seems to acknowledge it, let alone comment on it.
I wonder why….

It will be the same two issues as it has been up to this point, the regime needs to draft better in the future than they have in the past, and they need to make better personnel decisions in the future than they have in the past. If they draft well, then Brock's forthcoming contract will not bite us so hard.

Brock has had some struggles this season, no doubt about that, but we could say the same about the entire team tbh, Including the coaches.
